The Sol Y Mar Sharks Bay offers up contemporary rooms and All Inclusive dining. There's a large pool, too, and a shuttle bus that'll run you down to the hotel's private beach.
This hotel opened its doors in 2009, so it has a modern, fresh feel. The bedrooms are a case in point – they’re cool and contemporary, decorated in stylish light pastel colours. Slick touches include air-conditioning, satellite TVs and minibars.
Outside, this low-level hotel fans out around a good-sized swimming pool. If you’re coming in the winter months, it’s worth pointing out the pool’s heated at this time of year. The surrounding sun terrace is decked out with cushioned loungers and the fledgling palms are beginning to take shape. If you prefer the beach, the hotel runs a shuttle service down to Naama Bay and private beach.
On the food front, it’s an All Inclusive affair – with breakfast, lunch and dinner taken care of, buffet-style. If you like a lie-in, you’ll be pleased to know the hotel lays on breakfasts up until 11.00 in the morning. Plus, afternoon tea and late-night snacks are all part of the package. And if you fancy a seafood supper under the stars, there’s also an outdoor à la carte restaurant here - it’s worth paying that little bit extra for.
Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Late breakfast 10.00-11.00.
Afternoon tea and coffee 16.00-17.00. Selected local-brand alcohol and soft drinks until 24.00.
Snacks 12.00-17.00 and pastries 16.00-17.00. Late snacks 23.00-24.00.
Offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and late snacks with themed buffets ranging from Asian, Italian and Mediterranean to Oriental, French and international cuisine. Gluten free menu available on request. Dress code applies, long trousers for men and no vest tops.

Just returned from yet another fabulous holiday in Sharm El Sheikh. Whilst there we caught up with some old friends, two of which work at the hotel. Biso Ouf the restaurant manager and our adopted Egyptian son Hussein Sayed (to his friends Mr.Fox!) . Hussein and Michael are part of the brilliant bar staff there. We were made so welcome by Luka the hotel manager and his awesome team of staff who go out of there way to make sure you have a really fun filled stay, with all your needs attended to. It's a small, chic and modern hotel with excellent service and staff that go the extra mile to make your holiday a great one.More

Just returned from our first visit to Egypt, definitely going back. Sol y Mar Sharks Bay Hotel deserves every award it has won. Entering the building on arrival immaculate, Sayeed & Ibrahim at reception attended to our every need on check- in & throughout our stay. The food could not be faulted or the service from the restaurant staff, from Mohammed doing magic tricks to Abd El Salam bringing crisps to our rooms because they were missing from our breakfast boxes when we were going on early morning trips. We loved the humour of the pastry chef & guidance in what to choose. The animation team Bobosh(loser team), Kareem, Ahmed & Nicola were of the highest level, no-one was left out, whether making the fun or just chatting wherever you were. We stayed in rooms 303 & 304, very clean & spacious, on our return from our day we were welcomed in by an animal made from the towels amazing. The beauty salon at the hotel was excellent & would recommend everyone to use this, the service Haem( the lady) & Abdallh provided was of the highest standard. Sayed the shop manager was very professional, supportive & friendly, the service the salon provides is for ladies & gents, i found it value for money go pamper yourself .The only thing missing in the hotel is a lift, too many stairs. One very big thank you Sol y Mar.More

We have just returned from the best holiday we have ever been on!!
Me and my girlfriend booked to come here back in April and were excited to finally get out to Sharm.
Having never visited Egypt before this was our first stay and we are so glad we chose Sol Y Mar Sharks Bay.
From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, we checked in and were shown to our room which was right by the pool.
The hotel and its grounds are well looked after and the pool was lovely.. not too cold but certainly refreshing in 30+ degree heat!
The food was good.. and to be honest we struggled to find anything we didn't like.. as it was varied each day!!
The whole hotel team are so
friendly and genuine, Mr Luca the General Manager, Hussein Sayed (foxy foxy), Michael Hany, Osama, Saied, Ahmed, Bobosh, Kareem, Nikola.. These guys are just a few that made our holiday one to remember!!
Having read other negative reviews around the same time as our stay I can only put them down as utter rubbish, to the point that they could be fake!!
We saw nothing like what they have been saying.. and having spoke to a few people who did have little issues, they were sorted out extremely quickly and in a very professional manner!!
So overall: this hotel and its staff deserve a 5*** rating because they are excellent!!
So thank you Sol Y Mar and your team, you made our holiday one we will never forget and we WILL be back next year!!
Matt + Micheela :-)
Would definately recommend this hotel if you like relaxing and sunbathing near pool all day
had a great 10 day holiday here
foxy the barman was very friendly
mohammed masin done the monkey and peacock in our room with the towels brilliant
food was great and service excellent well worth tipping as they all worked so very hard
very friendly and welcoming food was great we could not complain
i must point out the music was a bit too loud of a day and night
sister hotel jazz belvedere was wow factor because of its beach and look but lacked the friendliness of the staff which were not interested in serving us did wait about half an hour for a horrible pizza and burger
nhama bay was about 16 pound taxi from hotel and soho square was 11 pound
we went to the queen vic in soho square thinking it would be a great pub it cost us about 11 pound for a malibu and coke and a pint of beer and you have to sit down and wait for the barman to come to you to take your order which nobody told us to after waiting 20 minutes at the bar getting ignoredMore
