The Sol Y Mar Sharks Bay offers up contemporary rooms and All Inclusive dining. There's a large pool, too, and a shuttle bus that'll run you down to the hotel's private beach.
This hotel opened its doors in 2009, so it has a modern, fresh feel. The bedrooms are a case in point – they’re cool and contemporary, decorated in stylish light pastel colours. Slick touches include air-conditioning, satellite TVs and minibars.
Outside, this low-level hotel fans out around a good-sized swimming pool. If you’re coming in the winter months, it’s worth pointing out the pool’s heated at this time of year. The surrounding sun terrace is decked out with cushioned loungers and the fledgling palms are beginning to take shape. If you prefer the beach, the hotel runs a shuttle service down to Naama Bay and private beach.
On the food front, it’s an All Inclusive affair – with breakfast, lunch and dinner taken care of, buffet-style. If you like a lie-in, you’ll be pleased to know the hotel lays on breakfasts up until 11.00 in the morning. Plus, afternoon tea is part of the package. And if you fancy a seafood supper under the stars, there’s also an outdoor à la carte restaurant here - it’s worth paying that little bit extra for.

Amazing animation team
Returned yesterday after a great week all the staff r excellent. I have been to Egypt several times but this was the best time ever. Amir V Ahmed DJ and Soscha all worked really hard to entertain everybody of all ages. Bar service, resturant, reception, pool staff everyone was epic. Forgot to mention the Doctor who was also great. (Just watch out for the slippery floors)More

Perfect Winter Sun Holiday
I simply can not fault this hotel and its staff! The service from arriving to leaving was fantastic, Michael on the bar, Shady who serviced our room and Mohammed in the dinning room all helped to make our holiday great. Our room was lovely, clean and quiet. The food was very tasty - I'm a picky vegetarian - but always found plenty of choice! The pool area was spotless and the water was heated. Only felt the need to visit the 'sister hotel' once - out of curiousity, our hotel had a more personnal feel. The entertainmet team were not our taste, but their pressence was not intrusive to most of the guests who just seemed to wnat to relax in the sun. I would recommend this hotel and would love to visit again!!!More

Lovely break ... but won't be returning
Myself and my partner visited this hotel from 12th to 19th March - room 203 Overall we had a fab relaxing week here but that was all we were after as we have a baby due in a few months so this was our last chance of relaxation. The hotel is small, friendly and plonked right in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately you can't go out walking to nearby shops etc so we were hotel bound most of the week. We ventured to soho square a few nights and that was our best nights of the week - worth the 10 pound return journey. The entertainment starts at 9.30pm daily which for us is just a little bit too late - especially when the entertainment terrace is outside and by then the temperatures dropped considerably and you are likely to walk back in with 10 mosquito bites. Day time entertainment is pretty much non existent - the reps do a few song and dances throughout the day followed by darts and sometimes water polo if they had enough players (usually not) Music was played daily ... many 80's and early 90's classics. Drinks - awful service. We were frequently greeted by waiters asking for our drinks order and they would offer to bring these to your sunbed. We were quite often forgotten about and the drinks were delivered warm as every soft drink is poured from bottles which were not stored in a fridge. Snack bar was the best food of the day along with breakfast. lunch and evening meal selection is pour. No variety no taste. Rooms are clean and tidy but attention to detail lacking which is a shame when we paid for a superior room. After viewing a standard room it looks like we were only given a bit of extra space. No superior luxuries here. Day time treatments - constantly pestered by the massage and excursion team. Despite telling them I was pregnant and couldn't do the activities or lie on my tummy for a massage they still insisted on interupting all day long and even trying to talk when we were have a mid afternoon sunny snooze. I'm all for friendly chats but knowing the time and place is key. Unfortunately I will not go back to this hotel and I can't say I would recommend to friends or family. I have travelled to Egypt 5 times before and all previous hotels have topped the scale and met all expectations. For personal recommendation - Iberotel palace is perfect. Still small and friendly but get it right from the get go. Luxury at its best. Or sensatori hotel by Thomson. It's not 5 star plus for no reason. As I said previous.. We had a fab week away. We didn't let the lack of quality spoil it for us like it did for so many others at the hotel because we didn't go away expecting much. It was a simple and very cheap break. Next time I'd pay more to receive more..... More
