The Sol Y Mar Sharks Bay offers up contemporary rooms and All Inclusive dining. There's a large pool, too, and a shuttle bus that'll run you down to the hotel's private beach.
This hotel opened its doors in 2009, so it has a modern, fresh feel. The bedrooms are a case in point – they’re cool and contemporary, decorated in stylish light pastel colours. Slick touches include air-conditioning, satellite TVs and minibars.
Outside, this low-level hotel fans out around a good-sized swimming pool. If you’re coming in the winter months, it’s worth pointing out the pool’s heated at this time of year. The surrounding sun terrace is decked out with cushioned loungers and the fledgling palms are beginning to take shape. If you prefer the beach, the hotel runs a shuttle service down to Naama Bay and private beach.
On the food front, it’s an All Inclusive affair – with breakfast, lunch and dinner taken care of, buffet-style. If you like a lie-in, you’ll be pleased to know the hotel lays on breakfasts up until 10.00 in the morning. Plus, afternoon tea is part of the package. And if you fancy a seafood supper under the stars, there’s also an outdoor à la carte restaurant here - it’s worth paying that little bit extra for.

. not somewhere I would return too, but couldn't fault the staff the service offered was 2nd to none, very clean hotel and rooms. very remote so unless you want to spend money this hotel wouldn't do, as it is in the middle of nowhere. I found the food cold yet the drinks warm, we were very careful what we ate as we met quite a few people that had been ill, but we were okMore

Fab hotel & amazing staff
Just came home after a week here, I don't think I have ever came across such amazing staff! One evening after a night out at around 3am our air con wasn't working so someone came and fixed it within 20 minutes, the bar men are great and bring drinks to you all day long (always a nice idea to tip with £1 coins). The animation team work so hard all day & night, we went to Hard Rock Cafe and Pacha with Alex which was fab :) however the evening entertainment is not amazing or when you want to sit and watch there aren't enough tables and chairs downstairs so get there early! The pool area is great and you never have to fight for a sunbed! The music they play could do with abit of an update as it's the same everyday! The food isn't bad, breakfast is the best as there are chefs cooking pancakes/omelettes daily, evening & lunch hasn't got much choice but you will always find something (handy having the pool bar until 5pm). The beach at the sister hotel is pretty average to be honest so we stayed at the pool most of the week, however for snorkelling I'd definitely recommend doing at trip to Ras Mohammed and soho square in the evening! Overall I'd love to come back to this hotel and would definitely recommend it!! (Ps super hot in July and August our last day was 44°!) Thank you sol y mar!!! XMore
A Good, Relaxing and Enjoyable time!!!!
This was my girlfriends and I first time in Egypt. Last year we spent 10 nights at the Sahara Beach Resort in Tunisia (a 900 room hotel), so coming to the Sol Y Mar was a completely different experience as there is approx 130 rooms. This did mean that you felt more welcomed and treated on a more personal level. The room we stayed in (336) was clean and comfortable with decent air-con and a lovely view of the pool, exactly what we needed and wanted. ALL the staff were AMAZING, very funny and you could tell they loved working there, especially the bar staff!! However we did find the food in the restaurant a little bit repetitive and could have had a bit more variation. But the breakfast was very good. We had a couple of trips to places such as Naama Bay and Soho Square, which we used taxis (very reasonably priced) organised by the hotel to take us and pick us up at a time we wanted. This made us feel very safe. We also had a trip to the Aqua Park, which was MASSIVE and definitely worth a visit!! Although the hotel did not have a beach, there was one on a short, free shuttle bus service away at their "sister" hotel. All in all we had an amazing, chilled holiday!!!! :)More

well recomended small hotel
great little hotel, maybe 3 to 3 and a half star but with mostly 5 star staff,we stayed 11 nights in room 304 10th to 21st july and had a great time, the staff couldn't do enough and any probs were quickly and efficiently dealt with,as with all hotels[even 5 star we stayed at] in eygpt people including us had funny tummys etc,but here staff at reception put you in touch with pharmacist or doctor and your med was delivered to hotel, the animation team are brilliant, led by ahmed and supported by alex.rhonda and marina, the food was good you could always find something to eat, from spagboll, chicken, burgers, pizzas, plenty of fruit, accom was clean and tidy and from the price we paid compared to 5 star hotels amazing value, water parks and other attractions a taxi ride away,no beach but 10 mins away by free bus and beach facilties at the sister hotel can be used at beach[sunbeds, drinks and snackbar but not pool]at this hotel staff know and remember you people who we were talking to on trip home who stayed at large hotel complexes said they wouldn't go back because they were to busy and staff and animation team didn't have time for the kids or adults,at this hotel they did and you were made to feel welcomed and appreciated, quiet hotel it suited us and many others we spoke to down to the groundMore
