Onsite waterpark

The aquapark at Coral Sea Water World is on site so, a splashing good time is just footsteps away. The water rides have names like Night Rider, Freefall, Turbulence and Twilight Zone and include tube slides that snake their way downhill, multi-lane racing slides and a bowl-shaped vortex.

Younger swimmers have a pirate-themed splash pool where they can scramble up and over the water, then swoosh and glide back in. And a lazy river gently meanders around the park area too.

There are manufacturer's height restrictions of 1.20m on the big waterslides and the wave pool. These also have an age restriction of either 8 or 10 years and over.

Kids' club

The hotel-run kids' club provides a great range of kids’ activities to fill their days with fun and adventure. For ages 4 to 12 years.

2 outdoor pools

If you don't fancy the slides and chutes, there's always the main pools. One's heated from mid-November to mid-April.

Brilliant Family Holiday

The Coral Sea Water World Hotel is a well run hotel that is perfect for families. We are a family of four, with two children aged 8 & 5 and stayed for two weeks in July 2015. We would recommend this hotel. Super Star Staff ~ All the staff work really hard with big smiles and make this hotel. There are a few that particularly stood out for us with their exceptional service. In the main Dine Around Restaurant, we were brilliantly looked after by Kotb Ragab and Mohamed Ragab, the Supervisor Mohamed Nageb was happy to give us the names of his team that make a difference . . . I hope I have the Mohamed's the right way round! Mohamed from the domestic team who looks after the Mermaid toilets and the snack bar was great, there wasn't a scrap of food on the floor and when he was off you could see the difference. There are many Ahmed's but there is one who works in the water park by day and is training for reception in the telephone exchange by night. Ahmed Almasry is quietly brilliant and always does his best, we wish him well in his career. Food ~ The quality and variety of food was better than expected for all inclusive. The BBQ and daily roasting joint was always good and there were lots of potato choices, as a vegetarian, there was pasta and pizza and some good veg curry dishes. The salads were beautiful and fresh everyday, both at lunch and in the evening. One evening evening had fresh mangoes which were delicious. There were two soups and a hot pudding each evening which were lovely. The snack bar in the water park was great for a cheese roll and some crisps in the afternoon. For the last few days we ate at lunchtime in the Mermaid Restaurant in the water park, this had a small selection of dishes which were all fresh and this area was quiet and peaceful which was welcome compared to the hustle and bustle of the main dining room. The hotel was full for our second week and unfortunately not all guests were blessed with good manners, but this is not the hotels fault and the staff work tirelessly with a smile to provide good food. Al a Carte Italian ~ We ate here once and the steak was good. I had creamy pasta with mushroom which was unseasoned and bland, there was no base to the sauce with onion or garlic and the pasta was swimming in cream. The children's pizza was not crispy and tasted steamed. It was really disappointing and we didn't go back. Water Park ~ This facility is particularly well run, there are plenty of life guards, it's clean and they are vigilant with the running of the slides and the equipment. It's a credit to the hotel and all of the staff make this a brilliant place to be by day. The slides are fab and our son Zac who is 8 had a ball. Our daughter Izzi, who is 5 loved the wave pool and the lazy river. There were plenty of sun beds and umbrellas in this area. Rooms ~ The room we had was on the ground floor and was fine, it was clean and spacious and we were looked after by Sheraf. The bed was huge and comfy too. The air con was a necessity as it was around 40 degrees, it was quite noisy but you needed it on. We had a leak in our bathroom one evening and the maintenance staff were great, they came straight away and then the cleaners too. We had a call from reception to check it was all sorted. Brilliant. We had some fabulous towel art at the end of our stay and the location of our room was good. We were at the beach end which was nice and quiet, overlooking the pool. The only thing that would be nice is a couple of pictures as they room had nothing on the walls it looked a bit bland but this didn't effect our holiday. We would go back and mainly because the water park is great, the food above average and the exceptional staff that made a real difference to our experience.More

Cracking hotel

This was are second visit returned home on the 31st July after 2 great weeks . The food was outstanding but to hear some people it's was repetitive what do you expect it's all inclusive get a grip . The staff were helpful and when we were there it was my wife's birthday she had a cake brought to here at lunch time which was gorgeous it just melted in your mouth complement to the pastry chef and head chef then that afternoon another cake was delivered to are room again gorgeous . The new dinning area dinner and a kids movie was great we went the night it opens and then again the following night (27/28) were we spoke with the manager and head chef . The water park does have attendance at the top and bottom of the slides as well as the lazy river and wave pool there are notice saying children must be supervised by an adult at all times . There were a few incidents were the lazy river and pool were closed because of lizard and some 1 used the pool as a toilet there was an issue were suntan lotion would form a scum in 1 corner and looked a bit like sick which some sad people took picks of prob to get money off there holiday this scum forms in the same corner every time we have been it because of the way the wind blows . Plus points good rooms and hotel you couldn't wish for better can't wait to go back . Suggestion needs something to entertain the teenagers More

Family visit to Egypt

My hubby and I, and our 4 and 1 year old daughters Visited this hotel for 2 weeks from 14th July. Firstly I was very worried about visiting Egypt with the recent issues in Tunisia but security does appear to be high. There is a locked entrance to the hotel stopping vehicles entering which are checked with sniffer dogs and by security. Be vigilant and find a place to go if something was to happen. The hotel itself was in an ideal location on the beach front and within walking distance to shops. Just outside of the hotel there is a supermarket which sells everything & is cheaper than the on site shop. Mcdonalds & KFC in walking distance too. The hotel is clean although could do with a few touch ups ie floor tiles in the restaurant broken causing people to trip at times. The restaurant manager we spoke to said there is a new restaurant and rooms being built so I expect this May be why they are not touching things up just yet. We had a standard room but on arrival there wasn't enough beds for us all in the room. This was quickly resolved and a bed was put up for my daughter. The rooms were clean & spacious. Only issue is we were on the 2nd floor with a buggy! This was a nightmare carting it up two flights of stairs everyday for two weeks. We didn't ask to change as had unpacked 4 suitcases. If you have a buggy ask for bottom floor as there are no lifts here. The pool areas were always spotless and well maintained. However the floors are extremely hot at this time of year so I would highly recommend getting swim shoes for children and yourself if you wish. Most adults just left their flip flops at the side of the pool but obviously with kids they are running everywhere. There is a shop selling them on site but they are cheaper in sports direct! Lots of people without parasols for their buggies, I wouldn't have been without mine & highly recommend getting one if you have small children as the sun is not only hot but so bright for their eyes. We also had a mosquito net for the buggy which was great for the evenings when they sleep. Don't forget your repellant though, some people were absolutely covered in bites. We had about 6 bites between us but put on replant every evening and bought mosquito bands for my eldest daughter prior to going. The reps also sell these there. We were a little worried about the food reviews as they were appearing very mixed. Now if you can't find something to eat here you must be extremely fussy! The food was of a high standard. Of course it gets a bit repetitive with different dishes using chicken or beef, but doesn't this tend to be the case on all inclusive holidays? The food was always very hot and because of the quick turnover very fresh too. I think there could have been more of a selection for children, eg chicken nuggets, fish fingers. My children never went hungry, but they are not particularly fussy either. The restaurant does get very busy at certain times and towards the end of the holiday service started to fall slightly, plates not being cleared, drinks not being brought or having long delays with receiving them. Little minors really, but One gentleman who really looked after us was Mohammed Noser. He was great, always very kind and friendly and any problems he was quick to resolve them. The staff work extremely hard and for very long hours. Tip generously. There is food served at the aqua park pool bar between 11-12, and at the mermaid restaurant at 12.30 along with the main restaurant at 12.30-14.30. And then again at the aqua park snacks between 4.30-5.30. Always something which is great for the children. Entertainment was reasonable. My eldest is 5 and enjoyed the kids disco and watching the shows afterwards. If you plan to exchange a lot of money I would definitely do it there, the rate is better and was around 12 at one point. Use the big green card machine in reception which has a great rate and is free to use with your normal debit card. All in all a great family holiday and would definitely consider returning again.More

LaurenOwen,

Great choice

July 18th/aug 1st 2015 This was our first holiday to Egypt and it won't be the last, everything was fantastic, the friendly staff put in long shifts and can't do enough for you Hotel Kept clean, rooms are a good size and great towel art left most days by the cleaners, there is rubbish here and there but the cleaners can't be everywhere at once and it's simply down to guests not using the bins Pool Good size pools sun beds was not a issue as towels were removed if you wasn't there at 8am and again at 10am. Pool bar staff were great but could with more help as they are over run Animation team These guys are brilliant, from the second they start till they finish they never stop and never fail to deliver, they have energy to spare and a smile on their face all day every day Food Was very good and a great selection, my 15yr old son and myself are fussy eaters and we never struggled , there is something for everyone What could be improved is there could be a bit more for teenagers to do on a evening Dave, Lisa and Stephen ReillyMore
