Just got back from here and to be honest the only thing to spoil this break was the weather, some days it got up to 52 degrees and that's hot by all standards, take plenty of factor 50 cream and good after sun cream and you will be ok.
The restaurant mangers are excellent, I have a child with coeliac and they could not do enough for her, it there wasn't anything she wanted on the main buffet they cooked it for her, cannot praise Isaac, Ali and Mohammed enough, what a great team and even thought they are run off their feet they still have a good morning or a smile for everyone.
The pools are excellent and huge, water clear and cool and a welcome relief at any part of the day, they do kick you out of the pool at 6 sharp as its getting dark and another 30 minutes would have been better but you cannot have it all.
The rooms are superb, we had a family double room which was huge and had everything you could need, especially the aircon units, these are noisy but you get used to them as you cannot get through the night without them.
The evening entertainment is not managed by First Choice we were told but not sure how true that is, this really does need looking at as simple things like Karaoke does not begin until 11pm, certainly not enough going on in the evenings.
Lots of people sit in reception in the evenings as there is a bar attached, this is ok if you can get a seat and get the kids to take their feet off the seats so you can sit down but again there are other areas of the complex to sit, admittedly not as cool but you get used to it.
Went on a boat trip with Aquarius which are at the back of the big pool and not run by first choice by accredited by First Choice and all the paperwork you sign is First Choice as they have the same insurance and you get a better trip, less people on the boat and an excellent lunch, same places visited as the rep trips but half the price.
All in all a great holiday complex, choose your time carefully so not to get to many kids, but even so still a good holiday and value for money.More

Very boring holiday to say the least
Hotel room was clean, restaurant wasn't brill thought could do with a good clean, entertainment staff was shocking all they done all day was 1 game then 2 dances and nothing else entertainment of the evening wasn't up to much either, waterpark was probably the best thing in my eyes cause it was the only thing that brought a bit of spark to my 2 kids eyes overall wouldn't go back very disappointedMore

Good, but not great!
Just back from the Coral Sea WaterWorld resort on the 22/08/15.
My god it was hot!! mostly around the 40's every day...(which for us was good) if you want guaranteed sunshine this is place for you.
The Coral Sea WaterWorld resort is big with large pools and the onsite flumes and slides which are really pretty good... If you are 13-16 you will probably spend many a happy hour walking up and down the stairs to get to your slide of choice.
However, having went to all inclusive family style resorts for the past five years, I would have to say this was my least favourite. (don't panic if you have booked and are reading this) its still pretty good, and the chances are you will have a good time.. but i honestly feel a bit shortchanged for the following reasons.
The building and interiors are looking a bit tired, clearly they take a bit of a hammering all year round but another couple of years and there needs to be significant overhaul to the main pool and eating areas. The pool and pool bars are really pretty worn, and there has been a lot of movement in the pool lining, which consequently causes ridges on the floor of the pool.. (which if you kick or stand on is sore)
Lots of broken floor tiles and generally tired decor.. Indeed when we were there they were in the process of skimming the main walkways with concrete.. (a bit of a pain having to take detours all the time, or having concrete dust blow over you when walking...
Food and eating times
Food was good, decent selection of well made food.. Most nights they did have a BBQ selection which was tasty... However the smoke from the BBQ tended to fill the main games area, which meant my daughter couldn't play with the table hockey games she liked during these times (it was very very smokey)
Desserts were not much to speak of... like most all inclusive i have been on the desserts were really all sponge cakes, filled with cream, fruit, and a small bit chocolate on top...(all cut 100 different ways and presented slightly differently and lacking any real crunch!!!)
Again similar to most AI's served in small glasses, and local brands...... HATE how beer is served in small glasses... TBH just causes the serving staff more work going back and forward.
Probably the lowlight of the week.... Have seen much much better at other Thomson holidays particularly the kids disco / party (which my 5 year old really looks forward to and normally is itching to get involved in..
It consisted of the same 5/6 songs every night, mixed in with the odd game or competition.. But TBH the main issue was with the numpty running the technical mixing desk etc... He did not have a clue...!! cutting out music mid song, or not putting them on, Microphones not working properly, PC's with Children's cartoons crashing.. and continually shouting over the mic.. CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP EVERYBODY CLAP YOUR HANDS. even when the paid entertainment was performing...
He also put on some inappropriate songs (Don't want no short D__k man) and some other songs with questionable lyrics. They really could do with sorting this element out...
Friendly and attentive... Make a fuss of kids
Ok.. so are you ever really safe in the world today?? There is checkpoints of sorts from the airport to the resort. Not totally convinced by their effectiveness but anyway better something than nothing.
On site their are various white shirted people (guards) who mostly sit and watch their phones.. No Idea what the metal detector is for at the front door, as it pretty much beeps all the time and everyone walks through unchecked anyway.
That said i felt pretty safe. Sharm its self is a very important income stream to Egyptian government so there is a presence of Police outside the resort its self
Would I go back.....
All in all probably not, as from experience there is better value for money out there in AI's...
Got a good tan though, and somewhere else to tick off on the map..More

Recently visited with my 2 teenage sons. VERY Hot! Nice hotel with some friendly staff but not all. Rooms nice and clean and made up when requested. Had to pay for mini bar in room which we have never done before. Water park ok but limited slides. Good food selection at every meal . Plenty of sun beds available and beach front location excellent. On the whole would recommend a visit.More
Go and make yourself some friends and memories
This was our fourth visit ,but our first since the water park was installed . The coral sea to its regulars is like a home from home and this review is not for them it would be like preaching to the converted . To those of you visiting for the first time go with open mind .the rooms at the hotel are being refurbished but not all have been done . The staff from the cleaners to the management will do everything to make your holiday a good one .don't wait until you write your review to complain about anything ,do it while you are there . Your kids will love the water park and there were always sun beds available . There are restrictions height , age , etc check with your agent . The beach has what I would describe as a sandy gritty feel to it , sandels , flip flops would be advisable .the rooms are quite large ours was standard not updated yet but always kept clean by our cleaner . A tip is NOT compulsory but it can help you to get those little favours done when requested . It was quiet in and around the hotel at night except for the reception area where a lot gathered . The entertainment is not great , but to be fair to the animation team most hotels in Egypt are the same . The little beach bar where our friend Ahmed serves is the perfect place to be at around 5.00pm for a cold bottle of beer from the fridge and a chat , the sunbeds and umbrellas here are plentiful.take a walk on the jetty to the end and look out for the puffa fish and Nemo then as you walk back , depending on the time , watch the sun go down over the Sinai mountains , magical. The food is plentiful and although you do get some repetition we always found ways of mix and matching our meals to make them look and taste different . Outside the main entrance go left one hundred yards on your left the supermarket stocking most things you might need , a little further along is a bank where you will get better exchange than hotel , between the two a few shops selling various stuff usual holiday gifts , haggle it works and be polite they no where near as bad as Turkish traders. After you pass the bank you will arrive at the Hard Rock Cafe ( quite expensive ) was it worth, it I will leave you to decide . The other side of the road is where you will find McDonald's , nice sit down Chinese , pizza etc . I do hope you enjoy your stay at the coral sea because I bet if you do it won't be long before you return , we did , again and again . Lastly , some people have talked about hygiene in the restaurant . There are anti bacterial gels outside all the eating places if there is a problem it's from parents allowing the children free access to serve themselves we witnessed on more than one occasion young children using their hands to pick up food that had fallen to the floor and putting it back on their plates , also parents giving children food to eat while they are still in the pool .dont blame the hotel next time you have a tummy ache blame bad parents . To those concerned about safety , there a electric gates 200yds from hotel entrance all vehicles are checked not only for passes but there was also a sniffer dog . The beach area is private and had men with walking talkies . Outside the hotel at the supermarket were armed police and army . They take security very seriously and we felt safe at all times . The wifi in the hotel is really only accessible in reception connecting in the afternoons was better simply because it was quieter .More
