Fantastic family resort

I was amazed by this resort - completely exceeded my expectations! The food was fantastic, with a wide variety of different cusines to try every day. Delicious cakes! Also snacks, ice cream and drinks throughout the day so you will never go hungry. The a la carte restaurants were nothing special, so we prefered to stick with the buffet main restaurant. The kids club and creche were great - a welcome break for mummy and daddy! Fab shows evenign shows for the kids. All the staff throughout the resort were so helpful and friendly. The waterpark is brilliant with something for everyone, and lots of lifeguards. There is the added security of the gated entrance with sniffer dog for all vehicles entering. Lovley spacious room with free safe, and great cleaning service. We will defintely be back next year!More

Superb holiday, superb resort, superb hotel......BRILLIANT

A great holiday, 14 days of fun, food and sun!! First impressions straight from the plane was the wall of heat and I thought "oh my god", after the unorganised chaos in the sharm terminal we found our lovely cold, air conditioned transfer coach, a short 20 min drive had us at the Coral Sea Aqua Club, we were met off the coach by a very enthusiastic porter who told us not to worry about our luggage as it would be taken to our room after check in, we got there quite late at night, about 9;30/10;00 pm, check in was quick and easy, we were taken off to our room....1302... and told on the way the resturant was open late for us all so we can get some dinner, we got to our room and the luggage was there and wow what a room, it was enormous, much bigger and better than some of the places of lived over the years!! Oh and beautifully air conditioned too!! Myself, my wife and three sons (12,7 and 20months) were more than happy especially the wife and I as our bed was huge and ubber comfortable, we slept a bit late but still made it for breakfast, masses to choose from, plenty to lunch from and loads of drinks brought round throughout the course of the day. The pools have plenty to keep all ages happy, the grounds are very clean and well looked after, the pool staff are ALL VERY friendly and helpfull and put your mind at rest with the kids, the towel system works very well and there was allways sunbeds available, the chaps bringing drinks round work very hard and despite what some people have put don't stand around waiting for a tip. The pools were always clean and were closed down a few times due to "accidents". Mohamed our cleaner was an absolute star, room spotless every day with some great towel art. Evening meals were always a joy, plenty to choose from and some really nice stuff too, the two a la cart resturants are also very nice and it seemed like a novelty to be waited on. The evening entertainment was ok but there were some great acts brought in (Robbie Williams act, Lady Ga Ga act, fire act) but I think a special mention should go to Coco Pops......jeez that girl has some energy, she does not stop!! The hotel is a 15min walk from the beach where you'll find Bobby Thomson the camel with his owner....very cool and very good......not forgetting Bob Marley the baby camel, this guy is great and by no means expensive. All in all we had a fantastic time, the hotel is clean and friendly, the staff work very hard and are a credit to Coral Sea ( a special mention to Abdo on the Flowrider is in order for getting my seven year old on it) the food is great and I would highly recommend it to anyone with kids as they will LOVE it...............Thanks Coral Sea for a truly memorable holiday. (I could carry on with a blow by blow on every day but I need to finish cooking dinner............just go, you wont be dissapointed!!)More

Very welcoming and accomodating hotel

Spent 11 nights here and very happy. Food always good and plenty of choice. Excellent pastry chef with so many choices 3 times a day. themed nights over 7 days for variety. Ahmed was the best waiter, a couple of quid tipped his way on day one and we were so well looked after the rest of our holiday. I tipped because I had good service, not to get it, and it continued the whole holiday. The reception team headed by Mohamed were a pleasure. Nothing was a problem. I recommend attending the managers cocktail party as we got to meet a couple of the managers here where we could give honest feedback. the one negative I had was a minor one and they dealt with it there and then. We were a couple on holiday but couldnt help notice how amazing ALL the staff were with kids, they were incredible. Even a member of staff that could look like he was having a bad day would turn into a kids dream buddy in an instant. If I had kids to take on holiday I would make it my number one destination. The water park was very well run. The lazy river our favourite. The slides were fantastic and plenty of staff around them. 2 lifegaurds to 3 slides at the bottom and 2 at the top.No problem getting a sun lounger and the complimentary pool/Beach towels were well run too. There was also kids water play areas, flow rider, wave pool and more. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well kept. Room was great, a large room with 2 sofas by the balcony. Massive bed with another sofa nearby. well equipped with English speaking channels on the good sized samsung flat screen TV. plenty of storage space, maybe could do with a couple more hangers in the wardrobes. Free safe, great aircon, no problems with power or water. Mini bar could be a little colder if i was picky. The hotel jeweler was great, the perfume man I should of knocked his price down when I look back he was a little pricey. If you have a late flight I would recommend the late check out, was £37 extra through Thomson, I imagine would be cheaper if you book it direct with hotel like the swim up rooms. You can also use their sister hotel accross the road for their beach facilities. The chap who sold us spa treatments was great. We loved our treatments but also looked after me when I got some heat rash. Twice I had a complimentary treatment from him when he saw I had a little rash.More

Mark M,

Not the best holiday

This was our 5th visit to Sharm and by the 2nd day we were wondering why we had bothered and thought about asking to be moved. We travelled with our Daughter and her partner. The hotel is really good and the hotel staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. The food was good, not amazing but even the most fussy could find something to eat. Check in left us a little bewilderd but was just organised chaos and we got checked in and told to go down to the restaurant to eat as they had stayed open because we arrived on a late flight, this was a nice touch. One thing we did notice in the reception area on check in were a group of boys (guests) running riot jumping over the sofas and generally causing a nuisance. This was to be the theme through the holiday that a few parents didn't care what problems their kids were causing as long as they could chill in peace, sorry to those of you that took responsibility for your children and the others who probably recognise their kids from this review, I hope you had a good rest!!! There are alot of water based activities at this hotel and children some looking to be only 5 or 6 years old were trying to get on the lazy river by themselves with no parental supervision, we witnessed twice the lifeguard get a child out of the lazy river, one of them did not have any bouyancy aid and had she not been spotted by another holiday maker would have drowned. The lifeguards were brilliant, Omar, Joseph, Mike and the lovely trainee Said to name just a few, the pool and lobby bar staff worked incredibly hard to make sure the drinks were on hand and the tables were kept clear and Nabil would always be there to make you smile. The Asian restaurant was lovely and our Daughter liked the American the food was freshly cooked and service was great. We had a fantastic cleaner for our room who produced some fantastic towel art and left everything really clean but throughout I dont think the towels were changed often enough. Part way through our 2nd week the cleaner went home for his 1 week break and his replacement was a little creepy, he also came to our room on departure day at 4.30 and asked us why we were still there even though we had paid for the room until 6pm, he asked us to be out for 5pm and why had we sat on the bed? My Husband told him we would check out before 6pm. Thomson Animation team were great at getting everybody involved, MJ, Steph and Dawn were great but the lovely "Coco Pops" was one to be careful of, just to say keep a close eye on your husband or Partner especially if you go out to a local disco bar near McDonalds. Anyway to finish I would like to say fantastic hotel and staff, shame about some of the guests and no we will definately not be returning to this hotel.More
