All staff was very friendly and helpful everything was very nice, the room was big and very clean,
Quality and quantity food was extremely perfect it was 1st time for us but we really enjoyed and we will be back soon More
Just back from 2 wks holidays here with my husband and 9 yr old daughter. On arrival we were greeted and checked in very quickly and given a drink. Our bags were brought to our room and some food was brought up to us as we were late arriving. We had a swim up room no. 2107, this was brillant. Only negative thing I could say about this was they hotel could improve the area in front of swim up rooms where sunbeds are as this area is fairly drab. Our room was kept reasonably clean, we got towel art a few times but only got it when you gave the cleaner a tip. The main buffet resturant was very clean and staff here were brillant, they worked so hard and always made a point of saying something to our daughter especially Ahymed, not sure if I spelt his name properly, my daughter reckoned he looked a bit like Tiger Woods. There was always a good choice of food to choose from, different theme night every night, only night we weren't impressed was the fish theme night. There are 2 a la carte resturants, the asian one being the better of the 2. On our last night we had a meal booked in the asian resturant but our daughter was sick with the famous tummy bug which is rampant in the hotel so my husband went down to see could he get a take away instead but they would't allow this, they said it was health and safety reasons but you could take food away from the buffet resturant at ant time so don't know what the difference is??? We ended up getting McDonalds, Will have to say I found the wine to be terrible, the white wine was yellow in colour and it was vile, red a little better. Will have to say they life guards around the lifeguards around the pools and water slides were brillant. My husband and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the slides. The entertainment at night was absoutely terrible, my daughter wouldn't even go down after the first evening as she said it was only for babies,no mini disco for kids???The Thompson reps did work hard and we enjoyed the quiz on a few nights but then one night during the quiz they announced that the quiz was for adults only and not for the kids. I thought this was terrible as they kids were enjoying putting up there hands to answer the questions even if they were getting them wrong. We didn't bother going anymore after this. We found the bar at night had no atmosphere at all, people sitting around on i pads and i phones all evening. We went to the sports bar a few nights to watch the football, what a sad horrible room this is, its called a sports bar but no bar in it and 4 tellys on the wall. Every time you wanted a drink you had to walk out to the other bar which was 2 mins away. What a waste of a big room. We all got the stomach bug out there and even though we're home 3 days I still have it. We were in Egypt before and none of us suffered from tummy bug so I dont know if its the hotel thats causing this, met so may people who were sick with tummy bug so this would definetly put me off going back here. Often felt they staff were to eager looking for tips all the time, how often are you meant to tip?Overall enjoyed our holiday but would not come back to this hotel again.More

Hope this helps !!!
Just arrived back from the Coral Sea Aqua Club, overall was a good holiday but definitely room for improvement. Postives - The water park is great and keeps children of all ages entertained, rooms were really spacious with plenty of storage and air conditioning was freezing which is what you need in 40 degree weather although the fridge in the room did'nt keep anything cold, life quards are really helpful with finding you a sunbed and parasol if your not up early to get a good spot they will find a space to squeeze you in somewhere what ever time you get up, thomson reps are really helpful and nothing is to much trouble. We vistsed soho square were theres shops and bars you can walk about with no hassle, the ice bar is great definitely worth a visit. We also used the American restaurant the food was lovely although service was a bit slow. Negatives - Drinks are rubbish soft drinks are served warm and flat and theres water coolers at the bars that don't cool the water if you like luke warm water in very hot weather you'll be fine, beer is poured from bottles again warm and flat especially if you get the last dregs of a bottle, it was very hit and miss if there was ice so by the end of the 2 weeks we were craving an ice cold drink. The food was ok some nights better than others our kids are quite fussy so did'nt eat much as there was'nt a great choice for kids, breakfast was the same everymorning kids choice everymorning was french toast, porridge and chips, we missed breakfast most mornings in the 2nd week as got sick of the same choice. The entertainment on the night was in the worst possible spot the heat was unbearable and mosquitos were everywhere we bought off spray from pharmacy next door to hotel which seemed to do the trick, there is a sports bar inside with air conditioning which would be better used for evening entertainment. If you want to leave the hotel to go to the shops and bars be prepared to be hassled by taxi drivers, men on camels following you trying to get the kids to ride the camels and men running out of shops and following you down the road to try to get you into there shops its really intimidating especially when you have 2 young children with you its not worth the hassle we gave up and just stayed in the hotel. Overall it was a good holiday but 2 weeks was to long when you could'nt get a cold drink and could'nt leave the hotel without been hassled.More

A realistic review
This hotel has very many enthusiastic fans (and a very active facebook group which is full of lots of useful info if you join it before you go) and rightly so. It has a fantastic choice of swimming pools, slides, a lazy river and everything you could hope for as a family with young children looking for a sunny, relaxing holiday. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and ours was always cleaned to a very high standard. The food is usual all inclusive fare with a pretty good selection and standard (and 2 al a carte restaurants which can be used once a week each and make a nice change).
The Thomson team are enthusiastic and there are lots of activities to get involved with in the day and for children there is a little pups and kennel club hour long party / show each evening. You can read very many reviews on here and on facebook which will go in to lots of detail about all these positive things so I won't cover the same ground here.
There are, however a few things which I think are worth mentioning which do slightly let the resort down. There are lots of staff and they clearly work very hard, but they haven't got any customer service skills. They are often rude or inappropriate and waiting times in the restaurant can be long at times.
All drinks are served in plastic glasses which are very small. Choice and variety is fairly limited. Very rare to get ice during the day
Entertainment is very poor. Thomson team do a good job with kids under 10 but very little for teens or adults at night. Our kids were really disappointed not to have any sort of mini disco and they missed the party dances that they have enjoyed at other Thomson resorts in previous years.
The lifeguards are vey health and safety aware which is of course a good thing but I have never heard so many whistles being blown all day long with seemingly no reason. There must be a book of dos and don't hidden somewhere around the resort which explains what all the whistling is about - sadly i never discovered where it was hidden - so I am still in the dark and my ears are still ringing.
A last word of waning - while the hotel in general was very clean and tidy - give the toilets near the kids club / clinic a wide berth - they are in serious need of some tlc!More
