Even better than expected :) William & Nicole (The Taylors)
From beginning to end this was an amazing holiday and the hotel was perfect!! I dont understand why anyone has anything negative to say as i had a fantastic time!! Lots of thank you's to say to the staff!! Nabil our favourite barman by the pool and at night!! he made our stay memorable and ensured we never ever had an empty glass thank you for this :) Islam in the resteraunt also did the same and always knew exactly what we wanted :) Ahmed the room cleaner done a fantastic job and left lovely towel art which made us smile and also done a special one for our anniversary. The animation team work extremely hard!! big shout out to Aiden and Liam, who always tookt time to make sure we were okay and having a good time. Laura who sadly left part way through our stay was also amazng and wee kelly who came at the end of the week big shout out to you doll!!....sadly the same cannot be said for Inna... she only spoke to you if she was trying to sell you a ticket to a night out, if you werent interested...she would blank you completely until it was time for her to sell something else, even ignoring you when you said hello. The food was fab plenty to choose from and the american diner was worth the trip and the asian was lovely!!! make sure you use the falcon trips next door, as thomson will tell you you arent allowed to go into the desert...which is untrue.... the 5 in 1 experience is unforgettable and made our holiday Thank you!!! Back from week in coral sea aqua got to say it has been the best Egypt stay in 5 previous visits in other hotels food hot, good choice daily, waiters there but not in face chasing tips, and no upset stomach which is a first for me in Egypt.Rooms large and kept very clean. The whole site was spotless and where ever you decided to take your sunbed was un crowded. All staff very friendly and not in your face. One criticism if you asked for a cocktail at the main bar you may be disappointed.Overall the first hotel in Egypt that I would return toMore

Great first visit to Egypt
We have just returned from the Coral Sea Aqua Club after a 1 week holiday travelling with my wife. We have never been to Egypt before so was not sure what to expect. On the journey from the airport we dropped at 2 other hotels and both of them had very grand entrances and when you arrive at the Coral Sea Aqua Club it doesn't appear as grand as some of the others but when you get past the entrance area its a very nice hotel. The reception and public areas I think could do with some modernisation as some the seating wasn't particularly comfortable, also the hotel offer WiFi in the reception and lobby area so it tends to get pretty crowded there as everyone tried to log on. In the evening it could get a little chilly and not ideal for sitting outside so again as a result the inside lobby and reception area became quite busy but really on the whole it wasn't a problem, just a bit busy! When you arrive they greet you with a drink and take your bags from you and then deliver your bags to your bedroom. We stayed in room 4608 which was a lovely room and very tastefully decorated with a large bed that was really comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower and strangely a window from the shower to the bedroom, but actually it was a really nice feature as it made it feel bigger. There was plenty of wardrobe space and a safe which was free to use and a TV which only had 1 BBC World News but some of the other channels showed films but the films where American ones with Arabic subtitles so you could watch these. The room also had a fridge but the fridge didn't really cool drinks and didn't think it was working. The air conditioning was a bit complicated, but as it wasn't too warm we rarely had it working anyway. The only downside to the room we had was that it didn't get any sun at all and al the rooms on the left side of the hotel never got any sun during the day so if you want to sit on your balcony and sun bathe, ask for a room on the right side of the property. The room was a really nice size and was very pleasant to be in and also had a separate area which could be closed off if you had kids and in general I think the layout was well thought out. Pool wise there was a large main pool, a smaller kids pool which had a wave machine as well as some kids water features, a lazy river which was a good length, a surf simulator (which was great fun) and a set of water slides, it would make a great place for kids as im sure they would be entertained all day! The main pool seemed to get busy during the day and sun beds all filled up quickly, particularly those by the bar! We sat down by the water slides and flow rider which seemed to be quitter. The main pool was where most of the daytime activities happened so it was good either for people watching or if you wanted to take part in whatever was going on. The kids part tended to get busy also but mainly with people with families! The food was all very good, never had a bad meal. There was always plenty to choose from, most of which was buffet style and some of it there would be a chef cooking things fresh. The buffet food was always kept fresh and warm, also seen a chef taking temperature readings and the food was always good quality. They tended to have a BBQ in the afternoon as well as the food in the main restaurant and then always had a selection of food and snacks available during the day. As its an all inclusive hotel I didn't have high hopes for the food but was actually surprised at how nice it all was and it was nice to try different foods. There are 2 Ala Carte restaurants, one American and the other Asian and we tried them both, it was nice to have waiter service for food rather than the help yourself option but to be honest we found the food in the main restaurant to be better. I think mainly because you get used to your Chinese food at home and its obviously nothing like it over there and likewise the American is the same, its not the usual burgers and ribs but the Egyptian take on it, it wasn't bad but would probably choose the main restaurant as the selection was better but its worth trying them both as its something different. We found most of the staff very helpful and friendly, some of the bar staff we found to be not particularly tentative but most of them we found helpful. Like most places, the staff are after a tip and if you do tip them they really do look after you and its sort of expected but only a pound coin here and there. there is a beach across the road in their sister hotel but the beach isn't fantastic, but worth a visit just to see it! We went on a snorkelling trip on offer by the hotel which was fantastic, we paid £60 for 2 of us for a half day trip just 2 of us on a speed boat snorkelling which was well worth it, we didn't intend on doing it but gave it a go and can highly recommend it. The hotel also has a Spa where we had a 60 minute massage which cost £60 for 2 of us again. The massage was good and the spa was very nice but they try to rope you in during the day when you sun bathe and you really need to haggle with them. The hotel had a good entertainment program where all the entertainers tried to get everyone involved and made an effort to talk to everyone. It was a bit cheesy at times but entertaining all the same and they all really did try. It was a lovely touch that they came outside when you leave and danced everyone off which we thought was a really nice touch. All in all we couldn't fault it, the hotel was very nice, bedrooms lovely but the public areas a bit out dated and cramped in the evening.More

Best family holiday weve had !!
we just returned on Monday night after an 11 night stay at Coral Sea Aqua Club, as promised to the many friends we met whom many were staff I am a writing a review as a big thank you for making our family's stay one of the best holidays we have had in many years. Our daughter is four years old and had the time of her life with the many kids activities and friendliness of all the staff... We holiday at least 2-3 times per year and have done for over four years with Thomson's however this was by far our greatest experience. The biggest difference here is the staff are directly employed by the hotel rather than Thomson's reps and work all day and all night this means you have contact with them almost 24-7 thus helping build a unique rapport and bond, throughout any day or night activity you choose to do, They are the most friendly and approachable team we have ever encountered and our daughter absolutely loved the kids disco to the point we bought the CD to bring home with all the songs on, and its now played in our car every time we go anywhere. The hotel generally is the cleanest we have ever stayed at and the staff from cleaners to bar staff are amazingly friendly and considering they work from 10am in the morning to 12pm at night they are still dancing, singing and joining in everything with a big smile on their face is frankly brilliant. Anyone going here with children will have an amazing time we will be booking up again to go back and see all our new friends next year, a big thanks and pat on the back to all at the Coral Sea aqua club staff and we'll see you next year..
