2 outdoor pools
The pools here are huge, so you'll have plenty of space to take a dip or leisurely swim. One's even a wave pool. The sun terrace wraps around the pool, and is dotted with plenty of sunbeds and parasols so you can enjoy a day lazing by the pool.
Spend the day trying out the rides here, with a wave pool and lazy river for some chilled out fun or a bowl slide, Flowrider surf simulator, multi-lane slide and speed slide for a few more thrills. There's also a children's splash area so the whole family can enjoy the waterpark.
Thomson Kids' Club April to October
Designed for 3 to 11 year olds, Thomson Kids’ Club offers 2 hours of activities, 5 or 6 days a week. And that includes at least 3 evenings. It’s split into sections, with Tots for 3 to 5 year olds, Team for 6 to 8s, and Tribe for 9 to 11s. Best of all, most kids’ clubs activities are completely free. And outside of peak season, there are parent and toddler sessions 3 days a week, too. For your peace of mind, all Thomson Kids’ Club staff have advance DBS checks and hold NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications. They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least 2 of them on duty at all times.

helpful, friendly and amazing staff
Our family holiday started with a lifeguard "Alaa" coming to help us. From that day forward we have enjoyed the friendliness from the lifeguards and staff that work at this resort. The hotel is very clean and any member of staff are happy to help you. The food choices were great especially the American diner. The entertainment team and Thomson reps were all very entertaining. The hotel room was lovely, spacious. Ideal for families and couples. The main pool always had some entertainment with the reps whether it be water polo or competitions, quizzes. One of our better holidays :)More
Past it's sell by date. Shabby, bland and no atmosphere.
This was probably a nice hotel once, but has clearly fallen into disrepair as visitor numbers to Egypt have fallen. We travelled here as a family with 2 young children for 2 weeks in August with high expectations after reading the generally positive reviews, but feel we must have missed something, as our experience was very disappointing. The flight and transfer to the resort were pretty straightforward and stories of long queues etc at Sharm airport proved to be wide of the mark. The hotel appeared to be fairly pleasant in the dark and we were briskly whisked to our swim up room on the back of a golf buggy (luggage followed within minutes). A good start we thought, even with the smell of wet dog that hit us when we walked into the room. Things started to go downhill the next morning when we started sampling the services at the hotel: I'll start with the positive things as there are some good things to be said about the hotel: The waterpark is first class and great fun. Kudos to Waleed and the rest of the lifeguards who look after the kids on the slides - always smiling and interactng with guests. The boomerang was a big favourite and the spacebowl was a close second, though some guests did get stuck in the bowl due to a lack of water pressure. The wave pool and lazy river are great too. The food is very good at this hotel - always fresh and a reasonable choice every night. We used both A La Carte restaurants - the American has delicious steaks, but our favourite was the Asian as the food was delicious. Desserts at all restaurants are extremely poor. Nabil and Ibrahim at the pool and swim up room bars are an asset to the hotel. Great sense of humour and fab service at all times. These guys work 16 hour days, 7 days a week. Falcon Excursions - opposite the hotel to the left. We used them for 2 trips - the Red Sea Cruise and Soho Sqaure - both excellent trips and a fraction of Thomson's costs. We booked with Gemma who's english so understands the concerns that many Brits have about Egypt and is very knowledgable about the area. Now the bad bits: The Thomson entertainment team are appalling and seem to be clueless about the fact this is supposed to be a family hotel. There was no interaction with children and nearly all the activities around the pool were for adults only. There were daily groans as the activities were announced only to be followed by the phrase "for over 16s only". Imagine the look on a childs face when they see a giant inflatable cube in the pool only to be told it's for the grown ups only - ridiculous! We complained to the Thomson rep whose response was the family activities are in the kids club! How does that work exactly? We go on holiday to have fun with our children as a family!! Two of the entertainment team members did try (Coco pops and Em J), but the rest clearly had no interest in what they were doing. The "entertainment" got worse in the nights and was absolutely unbearable. The entertainment area was a bit bizarre and consisted of a tiny stage set under the steel structures of the slides - very difficult to see anything in the unlikely even that you'd want to watch the nightly bilge provided by the entertainment team. We had one UK act flown in during the whole 2 weeks - a pair of âcomediansâ who were less funny than your typical BGT reject â dire! They didnât even bother showing up for the 2nd week with no explanation from the entertainment team who proceeded to torture the audience with the most cringeworthy Abba set youâre ever likely to see. The awfulness of this however was surpassed by the breakdance act which has to be seen to be believed. We sought refuge in the sports bar, but they even managed to spoil this when they showed up at 11 every night to take their unique talents indoors. On one occasion they switched off the televisions where many had gathered to watch the highlights of the first day of the premier league season, and started the most ridiculous game of charades. The look of sheer disbelief on the football fansâ faces was the most entertaining thing we saw in 2 weeks. Next bad point - the sleazy bar staff in the lobby bar. They acted completely inappropriately around the young girls at the hotel and made no secret of the fact that they were making sleazy comments to each other in arabic. Disgusting. The cleaner in our room was a nightmare. He seemed to hang around the corridor all day and persistently knocked the door when we were in. If we didn't answer he would walk around the poolside of our veranda and shout across. This made my wife very uncomfortable and she was reluctant to stay alone in our room. The main buffet restaurant is very shabby and there is a serious shortage of crockery - just try to get a coffee cup or teaspoon at breakfast, or a plate without large chips in it at lunch or dinner time. In conclusion, the hotel has great potential but also some very serious flaws. The place is completely devoid of any atmosphere and the lobby and lobby bar are full of people staring at their Ipads and mobile phones every evening, as there is NOTHING ELSE to do. The evening entertainment is the worst we've ever seen and there is little to do outside the hotel in Nabq Bay unless you like being constantly hassled by street vendors and the camel guys. Wish we'd stayed across the road at the Holiday Village as at least we would have been entertained in the evenings. Finally - buy your souvenirs at the shops in the hotel - they're always cheaper than the resort shops and the quality is a bit better. Around 100 EGP for a pair of "Converse" pumps (£8ish) etc.More
We visited the Coral Sea Aqua Club on 3 August 2014 for our family 2 week holiday with our two young daughters aged 8 and 6 and was not disappointed. Having read various reviews on this website we booked a swim up room which exceeded all expectations - this is a must if you can afford the little extra and also try for the "sunny side" which keeps you private pool warm with the sun beating down on all day. The on site water park is also very good to keep the children entertained of all ages - including adults. My eldest love the Spacebowl. Only negative thing I would had to say was we have been to one of the first choice holiday villages for the past 2 years and found the food in the all inclusive resorts superb with alot of choice and variation - and whilst the food in the CSAC was good (and the girls always found something to eat and they can be fussy), it was very repetitive and not a hugh choice but this was only a minor negative. Again, the entertainment was a bit hit and miss and repeated every 7 nights but all in all this resort was very clean and the staff could not do enough for you. would definitely recommend this resort for a fantastic family holiday!More

Once again a fab holiday! Looking forward to our next visit!
We returned to Coral Sea Aqua Club having had a great holiday last year. We weren't disappointed! Even booked to go back next year! I had requested the same room as last year as it was perfect size for a family of 5, however on arrival was told we had a different room - what we had a family suite which was 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! Absolutely huge! The location was the same block as in the previous year which was ideal as it was so close to the main hotel. Our rooms were cleaned every day and the boys looked forward to seeing what design the towels had been made into each day! The only criticism I would have is that the baths could do with either replacing or a bit more tlc other than that...perfect! The food I thought was better than last year.. still lots of choice for both adults and kids, bbq every lunch and on most evenings. The chefs were happy to accommodate. The only criticism is that the crockery could be replaced as some had chips in them. The wave pool and lazy river had had their flooring replaced and were great. My boys were off every day on the slides and the life guards were always around and ensured that the children and guests were kept safe! Personally still struggle to work out what stops you going over the top of the Boomerang so I didn't go on it.....didn't stop all the kids though! Only suggestion would be to have more rings for the slides as there didn't seem to be as many of them and these could also be replaced. All the staff at Coral Sea were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much bother and it was lovely to see so many of the same faces! We had lots of welcome back which makes it more personal. The entertainment has improved slightly on last year and many of the reps were much more engaging and memorable. Coco-Pops, Wreck-it Ryan, Em-J and Sassy Steph did great jobs with their boundless energy! Kids adored them (especially my youngest who still tells me he is seeing Coco-Pops later!) The hotel provided entertainment was ok, but there could be more of this. The kids clubs were excellent when the boys attended during the day! We did a speed boat trip this time which we thoroughly enjoyed, we did book this via the hotel, although next time I may book via Falcon as everyone tells me this is cheaper and has great feedback. Overall another brilliant holiday at the hotel and really excited to return next year!!More
