My friend & myself (both 29) went here for a girls week in the sun in September 2015.
Our room was perfect. We had a family suite with 2 separate bedrooms. The house keeper was lovely, made lovely designs using our towels, very talented. There was bottles of water, tea/coffee etc in our room on a daily basis.
The pools & chutes are amazing, had a great time playing in them lol.
The food wasn't really that great, I lived on cheese toasties for a week & the alcohol is really watered down. We could drink loads in hotel & feel completely sober yet when we went to Emy's bar (leave hotel run left & it's just past Starbucks) we had 2 cocktails each & felt the affect of the alcohol.
It was an ok experience, I would do Egypt again but not this hotel purely because of the food & drink.
The staff were all lovely & very helpful.

Great family resort...
Excellent facilities for families with on site water slides, wave pool, splash pool and Thomson entertainment team. Unfortunately we wanted a quite couples holiday but made the most of it. Do not believe the Thomson booking team who say there won't be that many kids! Parents are happy to pay the fine as it's still cheaper than holiday time!
As for the resort food plentiful, varied and well cooked. Drinks always brought with a smile. The staff honestly couldn't do enough for you. Despite it not quite being as quiet as we had hoped we made the most of it and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well worth the reviews. Room was immaculate and despite having a tray dropped on me, everything was sorted by the staff!
Take anti mosquito stuff with you, we found it very useful around the pool to stop the flies bothering us! Also don't forget the Imodium, unfortunately I needed it and was happy to have it to hand!More
My 7 month old Son, Boyfriend and I stayed at this Hotel for a week Starting 26th September. This is the best Hotel we have stayed in and we highly recommend it to everyone! I have read other reviews about people complaining about the food. The food is great. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner there was always a great selection of food, English and Egyptian. Do not listen to people saying the food is not nice as it is Lovely and they are probably just fussy eaters. After all you have come to a different country so the food isn't going to be the same as what you eat in England.
The staff are genuinely kind, caring and Lovely people. They really do go the extra mile for the guests and NO they were not expecting a tip they are just really hard working people. The staff were great with my son too and other children around the Hotel. It really is a family orientated place. The staff do everything for you, I have never been to any other Hotel like this, the way you are treated by the staff is 5*
The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very nice and modern. I honestly could not fault the Hotel in any way, The waterpark is great and the lazy river ! The childrens pool area is great for older toddlers. All of the thomson team are Lovely and do entertainment for children and adults all day, every day.
Book this hotel and you will not be disappointed!
And a big BIG Thank you to everyone at the Coral Sea Aqua club, you made our Holiday amazing and we will be back next year.More

Great hotel with fantastic staff and food
There is nothing else I can say that wasn't already covered by kayleigh's excellent review below. I can't fault anything about this hotel. The staff were so friendly with everyone, great with the children in the hotel and provided excellent service. As others have said, anyone who complains about the food here has got to be the world's fussiest eater, or the world's most prolific moaner. The only slightly below par meal I had there was one night in the American Diner, but the other night we visited the food was fantastic. I think it just depends what you choose. Cleaners, gardeners and waiting staff were visibly working tirelessly to keep the place spotless and manicured. There was only one visit from the spa people to let us know about their services, but once we said we weren't interested, that was that- no hassle, no problem. This is markedly different from other hotels I have stayed in! Thomsons main pool entertainment reps were great every day with quizzes, acquafit and daft games, but again, no hassle to join in if you didn't want to. I was there for a fortnight from 19th of September, and I'd happily go back again next week. Very glad to read so many people with similar opinions! More
A long, but honest review!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this resort for 2 weeks from the 17th September until the 1st of October. Having previously stayed at the sister hotel Coral Sea Waterworld and loving it, we had high expectations. We were not disappointed! *Apologies for the long review, but I like to be thorough and informative*
The travel time from the airport was pretty quick, about 10-15 minutes. When we got to the resort we left our bags outside while we checked in, we were given a drink and our wristbands before being directed down to the restaurant for a meal. Even late in the evening, there was plenty of food to choose from. A staff member then took our bags to our room and showed us around.
We upgraded to a swim up room prior to arrival and we did not regret it! If you can afford to, it is well worth doing! We requested a room on the sunny side of the hotel which was a wise move, as the sun shone on our pool all day. The swim up rooms opposite us didnât get any, and I can imagine the water would have been very cold for them. The room itself was spacious and modern, with free air conditioning and safe (which I have had to pay extra for in the past). The bed was a very big size however pillows are on the hard side, so if you prefer a soft pillow (like me) you might want to bring your own. The bathroom had a big walk in shower, and plenty of storage space all round. There is no free WiFi in the rooms, it is however free in the lobby area. If you do want WiFi in your room, you can pay for it, although it is cheaper to go over the road to Falcon where you can get a dongle.
First of all let me say, DO NOT listen to anyone on here complain about the food! They are either unbelievably fussy or the type of people who arenât pleased by anything! My boyfriend and I both being quite fussy ourselves were originally worried about what the food would be like, however there is more than enough choice to suit everybody! Breakfast offers pancake and egg stations daily along with croissants, French toast, sausages, beans, fresh fruit and loads more. Lunch can either be had in the restaurant or out by the pool bars and serve things like burgers and hot dogs, as well as a make-your-own pizza station and chips. For dinner they have different themed nights, but even if you arenât keen on the theme, there are still things like the pizza, chips, pasta, fish fingers and chicken nuggets.
Pools & Slides
We mainly stayed around the wave pool and lazy river, both are great fun and there are plenty of lifeguards around. We went on the slides a lot too, with some big and some small, there should be something that everyone will enjoy. We only used the main pool a couple of times, it did tend to get busy with not much room around the pool. However the lifeguards would always manage to find you a space if you needed it. The Thomson team are around the main pool too, holding games and quizzes throughout the day. There is also the FlowRider (a surf simulator) which is great if you can master it! There is a kiddy pirate ship play pool and little slides too.
Staff & Tipping
Every member of staff we came across were friendly and helpful with excellent service! Although tipping in Egypt is customary, we tipped when we received good service, rather than tipping to get good service. Because of this we spent the first couple of days getting up to get our own drinks (not that we minded) but one waiter in particular, Mahmoud, sat us down and took our drink orders, and gave us refills when we needed them. We tipped him that day and he looked after us for the rest of our stay. He is a credit to this hotel!
A La Carte
There are two A La Carte restaurants, the Asian and American. You get one card for each restaurant per week. We went to the American for our anniversary, and the staff brought us a special cake! The food was lovely and service was quick. The Asian restaurant was amazing, the food was delicious and the service was exceptionally fast! There is a Stonegrill as well which we didnât eat at, it isnât part of the all inclusive, however hotel guest do get a discount.
We donât really have much to say on the entertainment, as we couldnât sit through the kids section long enough to see what the actual entertainment was! We did see some acrobats once, but didnât stay for the whole thing. Basically, this is a family resort, and the Thomson team do work very hard to entertain the children, but it lasts FAR. TOO. LONG! There is âLittle Pupsâ for the toddlers, then âKennel Clubâ for the kids, and it is pretty much the same activities and songs every night. It all lasts what feels like a lifetime. To put it in perspective, we could only bare to sit through it once to watch the actual entertainment. Kids entertainment either needs to start earlier, or last half the time!
Unlike Coral Sea Waterworld, this resort isnât on the beach, but you can use the beach over the road through Coral Sea Holiday Village. It is however right on the main street, so there are plenty of shops and places to eat. Mcdonalds and KFC are about a minutes walk away, and Burger King is further up the street. There are a few little shops selling crisps, sweets and drinks, but Iâd strongly advise going to the fixed price Metro Supermarket, which is about 5 minutes to the left of the hotel and over the road. It is remarkably cheap with no hassle!
TIP: IF YOU WANT TO WALK TO THE SUPERMARKET WITHOUT GETTING HASSLED, WALK ALONG THE MIDDLE ISLAND BETWEEN THE TWO ROADS. OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE STOPPED BY EVERY SHOP KEEPER AND CAMEL OWNER YOU COME ACROSS.
We booked our excursions online before we came through sharmexcursions.com. They are reasonably priced and we had a lot of fun. We booked one trip through Falcon Excursions, which are opposite the hotel. We wanted to go snorkeling on a whim and Falcon didnât disappoint. Better organization and cheaper than the other company too!
Our room was cleaned every day, and fresh towels provided. Although the bed was made and floors and bathroom were spotless, the surfaces were usually only âsprucedâ with everything (including rubbish) was just pushed to the back to make it look tidy. Not that this was a problem, we just had quite a full bin at times! We only had towel art once, which was quite disappointing as many other guests got towel art daily!
Overall we had an outstanding two weeks, and are planning to return to this hotel again! I am working on a YouTube video of our stay if you are curious, so feel free to contact me for the link, or if you have any questions.More
