Great Hotel and Brilliant Animation Team
Was at this hotel for 2 weeks 5 -19 January 2015. It's a great hotel and the staff are excellent. The 5 Star Animation Team made our holiday so much better they are a great team, special thanks to Kayleigh, Arthur, Leanne, Amy and Luke who were full of energy and had time for everyone whether on or off duty. They really are the best animation team I have ever met in all my years of holidaying and hope they are still at this hotel when we return later this year. I have never been to the same hotel twice but would definately go back th this hotel we had a great time. My granddaughter loved it too and can't wait to go back and see all the staff again. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone as its a very friendly family orientated hotel with great staff who are very welcoming and the rooms are very comfy, we had a room on the sunny side and had the sun on our balcony all day. great holiday, thanks.More

<3 This place...also for big kids!!
Myself and boyfriend stayed at the Coral Sea Aqua Club from 28th December - 12th January we had a fabulous time!! The effort put into the New Years Eve Party was something else! It had to be seen to be believed!! The food especially was second to none. In fact the food here was very good indeed. Out of all three Coral Sea's it must have been the best as plenty people were coming in to book for next year as they had heard very good things about this hotel. The slides were great, we loved them especially the boomerang, got me every time lol!! The animation team are lovely and kept us entertained throughout the day, even to the early hours if you went to the British pub next door. The boys especially were very friendly they are very genuine, pleasant and very enthusiastic... don't know where they get the energy especially Arthur and MJ . All the staff were lovely especially the boys on reception we had some really fun laughs with them. I'm not sure I would stay here again, only because I don't like to return to the same place twice. But I would definitely recommend this hotel, great for families!! We had a super lovely time and I'm certain you would to if you chose to stay here!! P.S Should you need the pharmacy, don't use the one directly next to the hotel go across the road!! He's a third of the price!!!More

Really good, but let down on the 'swim up pool'
I really wanted to give the hotel 5 stars but due to the disappointment around the swim up room I have to only give 4. Let me explain, we wanted a week away with guaranteed sun and after reading the reviews for the hotel we opted for here. 15 minutes from the airport, so an easy transfer. Check in was easy and we were escorted to our room. When we were looking at the different room options, we were attracted to the idea of having a swim up room. So we paid the extra £84 for this for our week stay. As we had arrived in the early evening we went to the buffet restaurant, then had a few drinks and off to bed. In the morning I was keen to try out the pool (which stretches across all of the 16 ground floor rooms). The first thing was that the water was freezing and we noticed that our part of the hotel (rooms 4101 to 4116) were out of the sun and after asking, we were told that we were not on the sunny side. Was it possible to transfer to the rooms on the sunny side? no! We were told that everyone who arrives make this request to go the block opposite, where the sun does hit! The actual room was fine. The décor, bathroom, t.v. bed and overall condition was really good. The cleaner in our block (Ahmed) was lovely and every day made different characters out of the pillows. The food was what we expected and was generally good quality. You could get something pretty much all day. It must be difficult to provide a buffet service, not just to the Brits but to Polish, Russians and Egyptian, but they do a very good job. There are three additional restaurants; Asian (free with one visit), American (free with one visit) and Stonegrill (25% discount of the bill). We thought the Asian and American food was average but the service was excellent. We enjoyed Stonegrill and thought the quality of the steaks was very good. There is activities going on all the time during the day by the animation team around the main pool. You can use the beds around the small kids pools and also around the aqua park. The care and attention provided by the poolside staff is incredible. No corners are cut when it comes to water quality and pool safety. While we were there we saw the pools emptied three times because the water had been polluted. The guys around the water park managed the water slides extremely professionally and you really get the idea that safety is a priority. The staff in the hotel are generally outstanding! Nothing seems to be a problem and when we had a small issue with our room fridge, it was sorted in minutes. The hotel is not on the beach, but you can use the beach on the Holiday Village across the road. We did and it was fine but be aware that you cannot get any free food or drink there. If you go out of the hotel and turn left, there is a McDonalds and a KFC (never many people in there) and further down the road there is the market with shops selling all the copy goods. The traders will approach and look to get you into their shops, it is not a hard sell and we found them all to be pretty good natured and generally had a good laugh with them. As we were there for only a week, we did not go on any significant trips. We did arrange a lift via Falcon tours (just down from McDonalds), to take us to Soho Square (15 mins away), this cost 150 Egyptian (about £13). Soho Square is a pretty shopping area that is nice in the evening when lit up, with a pretty fountain area. Warning - it is really expensive to eat and drink here. We were £12 for two drinks on the square! A few things worth noting, whilst wifi is available in your room, it costs about £5 per hour. So most people congregate in the public areas where it is free. If you want to stay in your room after 12.00 noon on your departure day then the charge is £40! Let me state that we are well travelled and can generally accept all sorts of issues. So for us, it was a good break in a good hotel with some exceptional staff. The only negative for us was the swim up pool. I did suggest to the reception team that if someone was allocated a swim up room on the cold side, that they could be given an amount of free in room wifi and a free extended check out if required. This might help to compensate for the lack of 'swim up'.More
