This clifftop hotel gets panoramic views of the Red Sea. It also has 2 pools and easy access to a long, sandy beach.
The views from the Beach Albatros are hard to beat. Perched on top of the cliff in Ras Om El Seid, it looks out across the Red Sea and the Sinai Mountains. Sharm El Sheikh is about a 15-minute drive down the road.
Hop in the cliffside lift and you’ll find yourself on a kilometre of golden sand, with a beach bar and plenty of watersports. Back at the hotel, there are 2 pools, plus a buffet restaurant and a bar with evening shows.
Booked all inclusive package and when reached there I was informed that it is including meals and soft drinks only unlike other hotels in sharm. The furniture is from the stone age, air conditioning is very old and noisy. Front desk and accounts staff are very rude. The USD exchange rate is significantly high. Food is very bad. Everything related to service is very poor. No value for money. I am not recommending this hotel at allMore
This hotel has the best beach in Sharm! The hotel is not big, so you always have place... in restaurant, on the beach or by the pool.
We had a room 5001, standart room and very good situated.
Hotel is good for holidays with kids.More

Idyllic seven days
I just returned from a week at the Beach Albatros.
Firstly, just like everyone else has said, as your car pulls up to the front of the hotel you do think ' WHAT HAVE I DONE' as it doesnt havea big fancy front of hotel like many. however after a warm greeting at reception, you are escorted out into the beautiful grounds overlooking the sea.
We had room 7004 which was a bungalow, wonderful view, not crowded together like the bungalows closer to reception. The room was cool, clean and had everything we needed ( except maybe, tea and coffee facilities).
I recommend finding your favourite staff at each part of the hotel and tipping them well to gurantee service above and beyond the call of duty. The manager of the sea view restaurant, Abrahim in the club house bar ( what a lad!) etc. not that you wouldnt get great service anyway, but you would be amazed and what you can get if you are polite, smiling, and tip! we had drinks brought out to our loungers, ice cream etc, they remember your favourite drinks at dinner etc.
The staff are wonderful, very attentive, polite, funny. And it must be hard to maintain that givent he rudeness i witnessed of some of the guests, but il get to that part later.
The staff were ALWAYS working hard keeping the hotel immaculate. you never saw them standing around, constantly cleaning! the grounds are beautiful and they do spray nightly for bugs and mosquitos. i only got two bites and that was on the beach without wearing repellant and i do tend to attract them.
the food is mainly geared towards russians ( more on that later!) but i never struggled to find something i could eat. fresh eggs at breakfast, chicken at lunch, and dinner with a red wine overlooking the ocean. how could you not love that?
we never bothered with the entertainment as it again was all geared towards russians.
speaking of which, the guests are 98% russian. they can have no spacial awareness, and boy oh boy are they rough with their kids! Many of them have terrible manners; snapping their fingers at the staff etc. However, they didnt bother me too much and it was quite entertaining from a people watching perspective.
They tend to spend most of their time on the beach - they will be down there at 7am with their towels! however there are always plenty of sunbeds remaining.
we found our routine tended to be breakfast, pool by the clubhouse (often just us there!) lunch, then beach, then the pool for sunset. the view as the sun sets over the mountains was incredible, especially when the call to prayer echoed over. very haunting and beautiful.
i definately recommend getting a snorkel fron the shop on the beach, i spend so much time out there over the rocks and coral reef, literally hundreds of tropical fish swimming around you! theres a big lump of coral rock about 30 feet out directly across fromt he stairs onto the beach by the boat bar, that has the best spot for snorkelling.
If i was going to leave any feedback from the hotel,. it would be to be more consistant with what beers they service, and maybe better cocktails? icy slush ones!
I would also recommend the pool between the club house and sea view restaurant be for adults only; we were told it was the relaxation pool but there wasnt a sign which meant when the pool was at its busiest mid afternoon, there were screaming whiney russian kids. but.. in the hotel defence, you never ever feel crowded. you never cant get a good sun lounger and the pool was only busy maybe 20% of the whole day!
I had a single person bed in a room with a double (sharing with parents) and my mattress was really hard compared to theirs, didnt bother me but it would others.
we went on one excustion; fantasia 1001 nights. i was very impressed, beautiful expansive grounds lit up, a good, if a little cheesy show (make sure you go into the room marked for english people or you wont get the english commentary!) and the dinner before was supurb!
If i had the chance, i would go to this hotel again. you really cant fault it and on our way to the airport picking guests up from other hotels nearby, ours stood out as clearly the best.More
Lovely resort with great staff
This place is not really a hotel but chalets built around pools and restaurant/bars, it is very pretty. We thought the grounds well maintained and clean, every night they smoke out the mozzies and we didn't get bitten at all. Our room was one of the best (7008) near the restaurant with fabulous sunset views over the bay. The nearby mosque didn't wake us at all, the aircon drowns out a lot, during the day they call out 2 or 3 times but it only lasts for a couple of minutes each time.
We didn't feel obliged to give tips, no one was looking for them, we had excellent service, and tipped those we wanted to part way through our stay.
We bought trips to Ras Mohammed and Tirana Island with Bright Shark on the beach, would recommend both and if you book them together I think it is cheaper we paid £100 for two trips for 2 people. One tip, if doing a lot of snorkelling, wear a t shirt to cover your back as i got burnt even with factor 50 on
The hotel beach has good snorkelling, mainly to the left, every time we went in we saw something new.
Thought some of the food a little bland, but there was always plenty to eat - hot and cold. Chef Mahmoud did the cooked meat which we always found the best, restaurant manager Anwar looked after everyone bringing drinks to you, and was very good at his job. Ebrahim in the bar was brilliant bringing drinks to you by the pool.
We enjoyed the Old town a few minutes walk away in the evenings there was always free entertainment in the middle and we did get some bargains to bring home, but you have to haggle and be prepared to spend some time to do it, but good fun.
Only real negative was the £46 we had to pay for a late check out, I thought it was expensive.
I would recommend staying here it has so much going for it.
peaceful and relaxing stay :)
Lovely resort , stunning views and sunset , great staff Eibrahien was Great! best Barman ever worked very hard and looked after us very well! Sayed was good at the Beach bar too, Magdy and Samir where helpful too. Also the restaurant manager looked after very well too! Tips are very welcome as you would want good service and give this at the beginning that will help with the service you get. Lot's of Russians at the beginning of September though! Our second week was Better due to more English arriving . Room's were clean and comfortable and Fox tv had English spoken films , Snorkelling was good many places to explore!
As for the mosque it, isn't so bad if your stay in rooms nrby the restaurant but your in a religious country( we here the preaching in Turkey) you get used to it never woke us up though the night . Plenty of entertainment all though the day til late. Animation team are nice friendly staff.
Overall a nice stay I would come back wish we found Il marocat earlier in the stay , didn't like the old market to much Hassle but Soho Square is lovely no Hassle lots to see, Men are best to wear Trousers if you want to Eat in Soho Square.More
