It’s easy to see why this place is called the Jungle Aqua Park Hotel. With 21 swimming pools and a waterpark with 21 slides for adults and 14 just for kids, it was made for water babies. The pools are surrounded by roomy sun terraces that are dotted with loungers, parasols and palm trees, so there’s plenty of space to relax.
Pool scene aside, the rooms deserve a special mention. They’re really spacious, and come with cream-coloured walls, chunky black-wood furnishings and tropical paintings. Tribal-style vases line up along wall-hung shelves, giving things an ethnic vibe. In-room extras, meanwhile, come in the form of satellite TVs, minibars and balconies.
When it comes to dining, you’ve got six restaurants to choose from, so you can sample a different type of cuisine each night. Among your options are an Asian eatery, a Mediterranean joint and a restaurant serving up Italian specialities.
All in all, it's a formula that's seen the hotel clinch a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award for 2013.

My partner and I booked a week last minute. Booked thurs afternoon, flew from Manchester fri morning. Price was great for all inclusive 5* (4T - Thompson rating) less than £1000 for 2 adults!! The resort is beautiful. Well kept, clean and tidy. The staff are helpful and friendly and lots of them speak good English along with 3 or 4 other languages. We met a few people while out there and one was celebrating 40th birthday - the staff arranged a cake, decorated a table sang and birthday song in Arabic I think and we all sung happy birthday in English too a there was a British chef also who was very helpful. The pools are awesome - so many locations to sunbathe and swim so if you want to be in the bustle you can or you can go off to a quiet pool instead. The aqua park on the resort was fab!! Loads of cool slides with mats or rubber ring single or doubles. We didn't queue much at all as it was fairly quiet - nov I guess and I think lots of people are scared to go to Egypt at the moment - no need. Tourism is very important to them and they want to look after us!! And Hurghada is 7hrs drive away from Cairo where there may be trouble. Be prepared to tip the housekeepers and waiters - they love English pound coins and notes They'll accept sterling, euros, US dollars and Egyptian pounds for any purchases but be prepared to barter. The sales people for excursions and spa can be annoying but if you make sure they know you've already booked with Thompson (if that's what you want to do) then they leave you alone once they recognise you. The spa on site is great!! We both had 2 massages, used the gym and the sauna, steam room, spa... The steam room ceiling was painted so looked a bit old and in need of some TLC - not sure why you would paint a ceiling in a steam room?? Sauna was lovely and big!! Pool/jacuzzi was lovely and warm and relaxing. The king tut massage was great and the seaweed one also!! We booked this holiday for relaxing which is exactly what we did!! Only one excursion which I would highly recommend!!! Thompson tropical dessert island trip. To mahmaya island (paradise island) with snorkelling and a meal, boat trip, out in the Red Sea - it was absolutely stunning!!! Well looked after, saw some amazing fish in the shallow part at the white sandy beach as well as lots of big colourful fish out in the deeper part on the boat trip. This trip was amazing!!! And well worth the money!!! Overall this holiday was perfect!! Relaxing, fun, beautifully kept resort and would definitely go again!!More

Jungle Aqua Park
Very nice resort. Staff very friendly & helpful. Pools & water slides were kept clean. Just be careful on the tiled floors, as they can be very slippery indeed. Food in all the restaurants was very good. Rooms were clean & spacious. The 2 trips we went on were not the best though. If you arrive on Friday night, just be aware that it's party night & was very crowded around the restaurants.More

If you haven't already been go, if you have been go again
After deciding to get away for my 24th birthday I only wanted and expected something reasonably simplistic as a get away for a week. As soon as we touched down I had to wonder if I really touched down in the right location. The reception is beautifully decorated and spotless. The staff were friendly, helpful and well presented. I won't pretend it's easy to get confused when you first get to the hotel as to where you are as it's such a big place but my advice for that is to use familiar objects as landmarks until you get settled into the hotel. This hotel offers something for every type of person. Our room (2045, armadillo) lead onto a quiet pool where you could easily enjoy the sun and peace without any interruptions. For those looking for a bit more active fun head to the big pool near reception where they have a pool at ideal temperature to swim and relax in. Don't worry about fighting for a bed there was never a shortage and the staff are more than happy to assist if you should require it. We spent most of our week with what had to be my favourite part of hotel: the jungle aqua park animation team. Lead by the enthusiastic and charismatic Ziko the team offer activities and games throughout the day to keep you fit and smiling. They had a range of activities throughout the day everyday and I would advise if you didn't do much else head to the 9.15pm show every night to see some amazing and funny entertainment. For those wondering about the food I found that for Egypt this was simply fantastic. Plenty of choice with a relaxed approach and layout to dining makes it a rather enjoyable experience that offers something for everyone. The bars are great as well and would say that everyone should at least enjoy a few drinks at the colonies bar as the staff there are kind and fun to be around. If you have any issues at all the reception staff where fantastic. Not only where they quick to respond but they also did all the could to help us with anything we asked for then they would call you up to check everything was okay. We never did the aqua park itself but it looks seriously impressive and if i return I plan to enjoy it properly. Also if you want to leave the hotel only about 10 mins walking distance is the senzo mall. It's worth a visit if you find yourself with some free time and want to get away for a bit.More

Fanrtastic Stay & We Will Return In 2014
I went to Jungle Aqua Park for the last 2 weeks in November. There was a party of 3 adults. Flights- We flew with Thomson Airways from Birmingham. Both outbound and return flights were to schedule. The outwards flight was 5hrs and return 6hrs. The only thing I would suggest is Thomson may want to consider adding entertainment to the flight service and consider their onboard bar prices. Airport Arrival- On arrival to Hurghada airport, the best thing to do for your visa is to go into the arrivals hall, and turn directly left. There is a bank with 3 cashiers who sell your visas. The Egyptian Embassy advised me before I travelled the visa was $20 US. On arrival we paid the equivalent of $15 US in Egyptian Pounds which worked out at approx £13pp. They accept all currencies and will quote on the rate of the day. You save £2-3pp if you go to the bank. Once we cleared customs (20 minutes), our cases were already next to the baggage carousel waiting for us. Very quick and we were on our way to the hotel which is approx 20-30 minutes. Hotel Check-in- As soon as we arrived we were greeted and took to the Indigo Bar to complete forms and hand passports over. Within 10-15 minutes we received our room card and we found our own room. The hotel staff are keen to take your luggage to the room for you, but we were keen to get unpacked and have a look around the hotel. Room- We were allocated room 1008, this was in front of the Aqua Park and we were allocated a ground floor which had its own pool and was in a very good location. There was very little noise from any of the bungalows close to us. Our room slept up to 4. The safe is electronic and free of charge and our room boy provided clean beach towel, water and soft drinks on request. We also asked for mosquito spray and a plug in as mosquitoes at night were out in their element. Food- The hotel has a number of restaurants ranging from English, German, Italian, Asian (currently being renovated but Asian was available just outside the restaurant) and a cake shop (Again being renovated). There is also an ice cream shop. Restaurants are open at different times of the day due to hotel occupancy. In the morning it was continental type breakfast and eggs cooked to your liking as well as limited meat products. The pizzas that are made on request in the Mediterranean and in Italian for lunch/dinner are a must. Drink- There is a wide selection of soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, coffees and teas available. Service in all of the bars is good and we spent each night in the Jazz bar and we were very well looked after. The staff get to know you and your usual drinks and get these for you on arrival. Aqua Park/Pool Areas- Open from 10am-5pm daily. As we went in November there were never any queues. Beware around the pool areas; as much as the attendants mop up the pool water, it is VERY slippery. The pool outside the Mediterranean restaurant was the only pool that was heated during our stay as well as the pools in the Aqua Park. Things To Consider/Beware of- 1. The locals will do what they can to gain money/backhanders. On our return we weighed our cases before checking in and they were underweight. When we went to our check in desk, the gent checking us in informed us our cases were overweight. In fact a holdall belonging to the previous customers was still on the belt which made our cases seem like they were heavier, we argued this and he held his hand open as a gesture to pay him and he would let us off! We politely said no and walked away. 2. Mosquitoes are rife, ensure you take plenty of repellent and remember to ask the room attendant for spray/plug ins regularly. They seem to bite at night when you are out and come up blotchy in the morning. Some guests were paying £150+ a time for injections/antibiotics, so be prepared. 3. When dining in the evenings, have a good look round all of the restaurants, you won’t be disappointed, then decide what you want. Most nights we took a plate round them all and had a bit of most things. Also talk to Cliff the British head waiter who kindly kept roast duck for me one evening. He is very keen to hear your feedback and works very hard with his chefs. 4. The shops on the complex can be a nightmare. The picture shop in particular. Prices for all of the goods are less than half at the airport or locally in Hurghada, I suggest going to the Senzo Mall which is a 10 minute walk or offering at least half price. They are VERY persistent. 5. Again another thing that got our back ups was the sellers that came round the poolside when you are relaxing. This was to sell spa treatments, excursions or to take your ear phones out to get you to join in the entertainment. This was consistent for 2 weeks. 6. All in all we had a great 2 weeks and I am already looking to book for 2014. Enjoy! Please feel free to message me with any questions you have.More
