Cape Verde Visas

British Citizens travelling to the Cape Verde islands require a passport that is valid for a minimum of 6 months upon their return to the UK and an entrance visa.

Thomson & Portland Package Holidays
The entry visa fee is included in the holiday cost for all Thomson & Portland package holidays. However, it is essential you register your passport details with us so that we can process the visa application for you. This must be completed at least 5 days before the date you fly. Should you fail to do this, you will be asked to pay for a visa on arrival at a cost of 25€ per person and you will not be able to claim the cost back from us.

On arrival in Cape Verde your passport will be stamped. This stamp is your entry visa. There is no need for you to approach the 'Visa’ office at the airport. Please proceed directly to passport control.

Flight Only Customers
If you have booked a Flight Only with Thomson Fly, or are on a package with another tour operator, the cost of your entry visa is not included. You must pay for your entry visa on arrival in the Cape Verde Islands, and should not apply online via the Thomson website. Entry visas can be paid in cash at passport control at a cost of 25€ per person.
