Spotlight on…Two of Greece’s Most Luxurious Hotels.

Stay at one of these two properties in Greece and, as well as your sun cream, you’ll need to pack a tissue, because you may just shed a tear when it’s time to leave. Lindian Village, in Rhodes, and Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort, in Halkidiki, go all out (and then some) to hook you up with holidays that let you sample Greece’s authenticity, in seriously luxurious surroundings.

Lindian Village, Rhodes.

This hotel’s made it into our A La Carte collection, so it goes to show how highly we rate it – only the crème de la crème get in. Starting with the basics, Lindian Village has a five-star rating, a beachfront setting, and a stand-out dining scene. Heard it all before? Let’s dig deeper.

Accommodation is divided into neighbourhoods, so there’s a charming, village-like feel to the place. The bedrooms’ décor is whitewashed and fresh, and you can upgrade to have a terrace with a Jacuzzi® or suite with a private pool, if you like.

Relaxation’s the name of the game around the main pool. Waiters bring margaritas and finger food direct to your sunbed, so the only energy you’ll need to exert is turning the pages of your book. But, when you do want to pick up the pace, you’ve got activities, like snorkelling and windsurfing, at your fingertips.

On the dining front, there are five stylish restaurants, serving up the likes of Mediterranean, Thai and seafood. For romantic occasions, you can opt for a private dinner, where you can dine wherever you like – by the pool, on the beach, or even on your balcony as the sun sets.

Location-wise, the hotel is only 10 minutes away from the famous sugar-cube town of Lindos. Explore historical sites, traditional tavernas and golden beaches. Whilst you’re there, make sure to capture those all-important #nofilterneeded snaps, too.

Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort, Halkidiki.

This place first opened its doors in 2016, so it’s got that fresh-out-the-box feel. Rooms are kitted out with modern furniture, and all come with lovely views of the manicured gardens. The majority of rooms are suites or there’s the option to upgrade to a sea-view or swim-up room.

The property’s location, on Halkidiki’s Kassandra Peninsula, is perfect if you’re in need of a bit of R&R. There are two heated pools – one’s filled with palm trees on miniature islands, and the other sits at the base of a waterfall. Whichever one you choose, though, you’ll be guaranteed stellar sea views.

The hotel’s spa is worth talking about, too. It spans two floors and houses thermal pools, along with a steam room and a sauna. You’ll find an extensive list of massages and facials, plus, glowing reviews from other blissed-out visitors on TripAdvisor.

6

As the night draws in, you can hop between the hotel’s bars, which include a high-end bar that showcases Greece’s best wine, and a cocktail lounge that’s styled up like an ice cave. Time it right, and you’ll get a cracking view of the sunset behind Mount Athos from the Mirage Bar’s terrace.
