Our luxurious Barut hotels are in beautiful places all over Turkey, from historical Side to scenic Kemer. Here, we take a look at our 3 favourites to help you find the right one for you.
August has finally arrived – even if the British summer hasn’t – which means you only have a couple of months left to book your summer holiday for this year. If you’re still undecided where to go, help is at hand. We’ve narrowed the choices down to 3 luxurious Barut hotels in Turkey, all with plush interiors and beachfront postcodes. Take a look and see what tickles your fancy…
Barut Acanthus & Cennet
‘Cennet’ means paradise in Turkish, and this place really is heaven on earth. The brand-new Barut Acathus & Cennet is so lavish that it’s bagged a place in our exclusive A la Carte collection. A huge outdoor pool takes centre stage, complete with comfy loungers and a well-stocked bar. Plus, if you pay a little extra and upgrade to a swim-up room, you can dive straight in from your private terrace.
When it comes to dining, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Chefs show off their skills in the buffet restaurant, where you can refill your plate as many times as you like. There are 3 à la carte places, too, serving up fresh seafood, Italian dishes and international favourites. If you’re looking for something sweeter, the patisserie has cream cakes, soft pastries and rich coffee. Once you’ve eaten everything in sight, why not go for a stroll along the hotel’s private stretch of Side Beach?
If you want to take the kids away this summer, the pretty town of Kemer has the perfect place. With a long list of activities, top entertainment and half a dozen restaurants, Barut Kemer ticks all the boxes. Take your pick from tennis, minigolf and water polo, or head to the beach for volleyball, canoeing and windsurfing. There’s also a cracking pool scene here, with a trio of swimming spots, 3 waterslides and plenty of sunbeds.
If you’re travelling with little ones, check out the hotel-run kids’ club. This place has a massive playroom, along with a bowling alley and air hockey tables. The fun continues after sundown, when the amphitheatre is filled with circus performers, acrobats and a mini-disco. After a busy day, you can pile your plate high at the buffet, or head to one of the à la carte restaurants – there are 5 to try. You can tuck into Turkish, Asian and Italian cuisine, along with seafood and freshly-baked pizzas. If you’re still not ready for bed, chill out in the cinema or dance the night away in the on-site nightclub.
With 5 stars and several international awards, the beachfront Barut Arum is a cut above the rest. For starters, there’s the spa. You can unwind in the Turkish bath, relax in the sauna and pamper yourself with a therapeutic massage. If you’d prefer to keep busy, activities like archery, tennis and aerobics are all on offer, as well. Kids will be happy, too, as the large canopy-topped playground is kitted out with climbing frames, swings and slides.
There’s also a splash area for kids and 2 bigger pools for adults. And, when you fancy a drink, you won’t even need to leave the pool – just paddle over to the swim-up bar and take a seat on an underwater stool. Elsewhere, the Bonsai bar serves tasty snacks, while 3 gourmet restaurants offer Turkish, Asian and international specialties. Where do we sign up?
