We know our customers love using social media before their holidays to meet other Thomson followers who’ve been to the same hotel or to get information from us, so that they can really start getting excited before their holiday.
To help make our holiday experiences more interactive we are currently trialling online welcome meetings using Google+ Hangouts at our Sensatori Crete resort. Our first happened on Monday and customers met our iAdvisor Diane Bellamy who was able to give them all the information they needed for a great holiday, before departing. Via live video link they asked questions about the weather, local restaurants and events coming up in the resort.
Our iAdvisors at Sensatori Crete are now equipped with tablets so that wherever they are they can answer questions on social media networks. For those not involved in the Google+ Hangouts they’ll still be able tweet our iAdvisor from their sunbed with questions about what entertainment is on that night or where they should go for a romantic meal using the #sensatoricrete .
Just as in a real welcome meeting or when you bump into your holiday advisor around the hotel, customers will be able to ask their iAdvisor anything they like. The trial will run until the end of August and if it is successful then we could roll it out across all of our Sensatori Resorts later this year.
