Talented vocalists, live bands and UK comedians… you’ll be entertained around the clock on Thomson Cruises’ latest ship, Thomson Majesty.

You’ve probably seen our big announcement (A Royal Debut – Thomson Majesty) by now – Thomson Cruises is welcoming another ship into its ranks. Thomson Majesty is replacing old favourite, Thomson Destiny, who’s hanging up her hat after 7 years in the fleet. The new vessel is a decade younger than her predecessor, so she’s in ship shape (pun intended), with more contemporary cabins, 5 restaurants, and a spa, which features 7 treatment rooms and 2 saunas.

As for when the sun goes down, there’s the full spectrum of bars and entertainment venues, and you can expect the usual high standards. There’ll be a resident group of vocalists called the Majesty Singers, who’ll take you from the bright lights of Vegas to a rock-off with Queen. And a lot of performances will be choreographed, so you can expect show-like elements. Because the Thomson Majesty’s main stage is round, though, with seats around the edge, there isn’t much room for acrobatic dance moves. It means the performances will be more ‘Chicago’ than ‘Fame’.

You can look forward to deck parties, solo performances, cabaret-style acts, live bands and high-profile piano entertainers, too. Plus, there’ll be a UK comedian live on stage every week, as well as a second special guest act.

    Have just returned from my first cruise ever, we had an excellent holiday ion the Majesty, Italian Flavours, all the staff couldn’t do enough for us. tried to find the website for muzzic unlimited but may have spelt it wrong, the sit down resteraunts didn’t have much vegetarian choice so we ate in the self service mainly, would love to book another cruise with my Husband but he’s a vegan which I think would be impossible

    Hi.

    My wife and I and two friends have just had a fantastic time on the Majesty cruising around Italy .

    From start to finish Thompsons fulfilled and exceeded all of our expectations.
    The ship itself is spotlessly clean and the crew are all super friendly.

    The on board entertainment team were fantastic with Un Limited a duo with an amazing range and the show team provided West End quality every night .

    The food in all areas was great we particularly enjoyed the 4 seasons Restauraunt .

    Hats off to her majesty we will be cruising with her again in the near future.

    What is the draught beer served on Majestic and how much per pint?

      Hi Paul, Our draught beer can sometimes change so we can’t advise what will be available onboard. Drinks prices are similar to UK pub prices. You’ll pay around £3.70 for a pint of beer and £4 for a glass of wine.

    We are on the majesty next week and as it visits Gibraltar was wondering if it was possible to take duty free spirits and cigarettes back on board and if so how much ? We do not have a flight booked at the end of the cruise.

    Had a great holiday on Island Escape last summer and the Teen club “speed get to know you” type get together on the first day meant my 2 teens met a great bunch of friends from day 1 and apart from excursions spent every waking hour with them and said it was the best holiday ever! Want to visit East Med but afraid that Thomson Majesty does not do the same type of thing? Can anyone let me know if they have had teens with them and how they got to know other teens on Thomson Majesty etc?

    OH NO!! After reading the above comments i am now apprehensive about our trip on the majesty in May 2014! Small rooms, cold food, tame entertainment, cold rooms!!

      Hi Faye, i i wouldn’t worry about a thing, we were on majesty last july for our first cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. the staff were excellant and the food was great. the entertainment at night was 1st class. we met a couple who have been on majesty a few times and love it, we enjoyed it that much we got home on the saturday and booked on the tuesday for this year in may, when do you go in may, we are doing adriatic explorer on 30th, we did pearls of the aegean last year and loved it.

    Hi

    I have just paid deposit today for my husband and I to travel on Thomson Majesty in May 2014. I noticed on the Thomson online tour that you have to pay £19 to dine in one of the restuarants onboard the Majesty which I am not particularly enamoured about as I have paid upfront to dine all inclusive (inc drinks)…can you please confirm if this is the case.

    Also I am definatley not happy at the prospect of having to share a table with two other people I don’t know in the restuarant down below…I would of expected to be able to sit quietly at a table for ‘two’ if I wished to do so which most people would prefer I’d of thought.

    I would really appreciate clarity on this if possible.

    My wife and I have just returned from PEARLS Of the AEGEAN cruise on Thomson Majesty. Well done your majesty it was superb.The food was excellent,the staff were brilliant,the entertainment was superb,the ship was spotless what more can I say .We did not want to leave.Thank you your MAJESTY for a superb holiday.

    I have just come back from my very first Cruise which was on board the Thomson Majesty. It was fabulous, a very well organsied ship, the Crewe could not do enough for yo, even down to the Cabin cleaners. The Entertainment was fantastic the entertainment Staff must work their socks off to provide us with such great shows. We can not thank all of you on board enough, So we have booked again for next year and simply cannot wait. I do not thnk we can go back to a Hotel & Beach after this. 20 out of 10 xxx

    Went on the Majesty in August, had an excellent cruise once again but our one gripe is the open seating at meals. Surely open seating means being able to choose where to sit not being pushed onto a table of strangers each evening. Please start to provide more tables for two for those couples wanting to enjoy a meal together.

    I did the Adriatic and Italian flavours, 1st time on Thompson (Thompson Majesty) I really enjoyed it. Staff couldn’t do enough for you
    I made lot of friends and we have rebook for next year 1st August

    We would like to congratulate all the staff on the Thomson Majesty. We have just returned from a two week cruise and after reading some bad reviews on different websites, we were concerned. Everything ran smoothly from the moment we boarded our flight to arriving in our cabin. Our cabin was big enough for the four of us (kept immaculately clean the whole of the time), the dining room staff were friendly – remembering your name, what we liked to drink, to remembering the children’s preference with their meals! Great choice of food to choose from, all served hot and well presented. The evenings entertainment was fantastic, our daughter loved watching the singing and dancing. We would recommend the kids club, our two enjoyed the meeting other children their age, the staff who ran this club were well organised, offering different activities, suited to the different age groups. Everyone that we met were friendly, we made some good friends. It was really sad to leave.

    I went on the Thomson Majesty on the 9th of August 2013 and just returned home yesterday. I don’t see why these bad reviews are being portrayed but I guess everyone has their own opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday this week, as did my family. The food was excellent (and hot!) I loved the show team, every one of them is very talented! There was so much entertainment going on around the ship all the time! The clubs for kids and teenagers are good so people get to know each other. I didn’t attend to Teen Club but I still made a good friend who I’m in contact with now. The weather was perfect throughout the entire week and I couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. Everyone was very friendly and everything was very well organised and set out. I will definitely travel with this cruise line again and I have already recommended it to friends and other family members! Thank you for a fantastic week Thomson Majesty!

    Just returned from a two week cruise on the majesty. I was really worried about going after reading the reviews. But the staff were lovely and the ports of call great. But we did not have hot water in the evenings for two weeks, Thomson offered us compensation but the amount was insulting. Also had no use of the toilet for a day and during one night the workman decided to take the ceiling down outside are cabin door. The food in the Café Royale was always cold and not much choice. Whereas the restruants were great. There was a vibrating noise in some areas of the ship. The entertainment in the Jubilee was good. On a whole I will not sail on the ship again as I felt we not treated fairly and the ship is not up to Thompson Standards that I have experienced in the past.

    Also forgot to add that we were informed by a letter left in our cabin at around 9.45pm the night before we were due to fly home that our flight had been delayed 6.5 hours. We were sent to the airport a good 3 hours before our flight was due to leave. At no time did Thomson enquire as to anyone’s onward travel arrangements, there were some elderly people on the flight and some were attempting to get in touch with taxis, friends etc, I think the cheese roll and drink at Corfu airport was supposed to make everything ok!

    Pearls of Aegean/Adriatic Explorer 3/5/13-17/5/13
    Arrived at Birmingham airport to long queues, half hour to reach the front. Flight then delayed 30 mins. Arrived at check in at the port, Thomson rep got on coach and informed us our lifeboat drill would be at 11.45, however it was 11.45 when she told us! Only two people checking customers in. Extremely disappointed with the size of the room, bedding rather tatty, no hot water on two occasions. The food was very poor, especially in the Café Royale, none of the hot food was hot during the whole two weeks, there were no heater controls on the hot food stands, also during two weeks we did not see any member of staff check the temperature of the hot food. After the trouble with Norovirus on most ships we would have thought that passenger welfare would be at the forefront. Ants were scuttling around the dining area in Café Royale. Every bar, lounge etc was extremely cold at times, it was ok when the weather was hot but no allowance seemed to be made for cooler days. Entertainment, poor and very similar in our opinion, the Summerland Trio sure know how to clear a room. We have been on several cruises with Thomson and other cruise lines and we have to say that this is the worst cruise we have had with regards to room and food. We took out the all inclusive drinks package which includes Smirnoff vodka, however the pool bar at deck 10 served a cheaper brand, when I pointed this out the steward was quite off with me. The one saving grace for the holiday was the itinerary which was excellent. I would say that for the price charged for the holiday we could have done much better than this tired old ship.

      Hi Chrissie, Unfortunately we’re unable to send you a copy of the bar list, however I can confirm that typically you’ll pay from £3.70 if you’ve not booked the All Inclusive drinks package for spirits. You’ll also pay from £1.70 for such things as canned soft drinks. I hope this helps.

      Hi Kate, We have WiFi zones in several spots around the ship. Internet access is charged to your onboard account at the rate advertised onboard.
